This is probably addressed somewhere on the board but I'm too lazy to search for it. :loser:
I got gas today (my miles to go gauge said 20 miles to go). I put about 1/4 tank in (forgot my MAC card) and when I got back in the car and started her up (the keys were NOT in the ignition during fueling), the miles to go gauge still said 20 miles to go. The gas gauge itself moved up...slowly.
How can I reset the miles to go gauge? Will filling the tank completely do it?

B, that should move on its own. When you remove your keys and restart your car after fueling up it should change the number readout on the miles to go. I havent heard of this problem other then maybe your car decided not to reset....? I hope that everything works out cuz Ive never heard this before.
PS. I sat next to Josh outside before the shift started but wasnt totally sure it was him so didnt say anything til I saw him later going to dinner, and then I saw his name tag, but still was to shy to say anything, imagine that!! lol. But just thought Id say I saw him and will talk to him tomo. I ll be the blonde haired kid sittin with a kid who looks just like me lol.

If the gauge isn't reseting on it's own, I would try disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes to reset the ECU. Then reconnect and the gas gauge should go to the correct amt. If it doesn't there is a chance that the fuel sender unit is going bad (it's inside the gas tank so it's a PITA to replace).

John: yah, I've never had this problem before so it was strange to me too. I haven't seen Josh yet (we don't see much of eachother through the week because we are on opposite shifts) but I will tell him to keep an eye out for you :)
Jason: Thanks. I will have Josh unhook the battery for a bit to see if that helps. I was stumped because the gas gauge itself moved up...but slowly. But the Miles To Go gauge didn't. Strange!!
