Just purchased a stage 3 TSC clutch, Qualife LSD, Koni front struts and rear Koni shocks......what else do i need to keep my wheels to the ground??

Has anyone here tried Eibachs drag launch springs?

Has anyone gone to the track and ran there 1/4 mile on large rims...like 17" or above and then swap the fronts to 14" and run a better time with a smaller wheel setup?

Thanks for your time, Nathan:biggrin:

One more thing......i want/need forged pistons and rods....where are they located?? Are they custom built to order?

I have a good line of forged rods and pistons. If you want you can e-mail me. The rods are 480.00 a set and custom pistons are around 500.00 a set. Depends on what you get with the pistons. We can look at what you are wanting to do as far as power goes.

P.S. Just because I disagree with you on the header thing doesn't mean that I won't help you out on other things.

Thanks, T.J.

Everyone tells me the Torque Brace (http://www.performancefords.com/products/suspension/tb.html) will cut down on wheel hop tremendously. Other than that, I wish I had your setup!

A custom double a-arm suspension in the front. Anything over 300hp to the wheels will not go down without a fight and serious mods. I'm hoping the torque brace atomic mentioned will help, but right now once I hit boost its hops, completely different then stock.

so kinger from your experience, would it be better to upgrade the suspension first before the power adders...or power first, then suspension to make sure the suspension set up will do the trick. sorry for the thread jacking.

They are both directly correlated, you need both to go fast. My roush came with full suspension and I loved it flogging the hell out of it, just needed more power, now I have that and I need stiffer motor mounts to put it to the road. Just working my way through the weak links :) I'm a power junky so if I had a stock cougar I would soop it up first, then add suspension :) Just becareful because she can get away from ya with that much power and a suspension system designed to handle half of it. Brakes are a must as well, mine are totally in adequate now...up next big brake upgrade!

I would not do the torque brace if I were kinger. Reason for is how it is attached to the trans. There is a Ear that sticks out of the trans is not very strong. You got a solid piece of metal between the mount and the trans something is going to give. My advice is to go tubular a-arms and solid polyurethane lower front roll restrictor and rear. I made a how to on contour.org on how to do it. It will cost you like 30 dollars and the arms how know but that is where the majority of the flex is. Engine deflection can be hampered my the poly lower mounts. The solid torque brace would not break a trans under most normal conditions but in kingers case I thing it would rip a hole right through the casting.

Torque brace is bought( thanks for the info!)......we will go from there to see if this setup is adequate for the HP's.
