pleasant run in with an SVT Focus......

Ok, so I am heading down I-91 through downtown Springfield and I realize its an SVT in front of me. So I'm following him, and as we head towards the state line he takes it up to about 90 and realizes I am still behind him. he changes lanes and takes off, so I decided to follow and see how close I stay to him. I downshift to 4th, pinned on the floor. Took it up to about 6800 in 4th (first for me) and he wasn't pulling away at all. It was dead even. Into fifth and up to just about 130 before we both backed off as we would soon be coming up on traffic.

I was kinda happy with the Cougar's showing. On paper the Focus should be faster all around. We are giving up a lot of weight to them. Well, needless to say I made it to work quite fast.

i never had a problem with a svt focus. a stock one anyway. i pretty much burn em away...heheh. aftermarket is a different story though. good run though. i'm due myself for one sooner or later.

i remember last year watching a hooked up svt doing at most 14.7s i think thats with headers and a bunch of other go fast goodies
