NOS in gas???

My friend was telling me about this kid he knew who bought something that was NOS only you put it in your gas tank. I have never heard of such a thing and it is hard to believe that it would work and not mess up the cylinder heads or the whole manifold for that matter. Has anyone heard of this before, and if so what is it?

I am sensing a product......this product is in a "cool" looking bottle.....can be bought at any autoparts store......is the same thing as "octane boost"....is packaged with the NOS brand name on it.....is being bought by every kid who thinks that the intake they installed on Mommys Civic is good for at least 50 extra HP.....and is complete ****.

I'll second that, its just octane booster! BUT, I have heard of a buddy who puts raw nitrous into the gas of his sled. So MAYBE he could be right about putting it into his car, but I highly doubt it.

EDIT: just incase, here in Northern Canada, a snowmobile is called a sled, its not a dog sled!! :biggrin:

Yeah I figured that is what is was, because like I said if it were real NOS some serious engine damage would be done. I am about to graduate high school, and finally I will get away from these idiots and rice boys who get their parents to buy everything for them. Who also fall for every advertisement stunt on the market!!! DO MODS. YOURSELF AND GET SOME BALLS

Nitrous Oxide is a gas...In compressed form it's a liquid....so how could you put nitrous oxide in a gas tank??

What was said about octane booster is right...
