front window gasket will not receed into correct position

I just got my car repainted and they did not mask off the gaskets that well, so I (stupidly) decided to take the gasket off and clean it and then reinstall...however it will not go back in completely at two spots. I checked to see if there was any obstructions and I could find them. Any help...or does anyone know what it cost for someone to do it for you?

Solved problem by using lube and starting at the middle or the windo with the end or the gasket. Slowly slid it along and then pushed the remaining center two inches in with my thumb. Note: Before this I tried to hit it with a mallet, let used heat and every other thing I could think of, but this is the only thing that worked.
