Fuel Pump went UGHHH

driving from Umass tues.. my radar goes off and i look at the speedometer. and i notice that the gas tank went from Full to Empty in one full swipe (mind u i put gas in the day b4).. i pull over throw it in park rev the engine. the tank still said empty flipped through the options it said i couldnt go any more miles.. tuned car off put back on it was fine, i left.. lil later down the road it does it again.. im like great this things possesd i decide to go to deal.. get on the highways and the dumb thing does it again.. i start laughing cause i neva seen or heard of this b4... i kept driving w/ the light on i didnt care anymore.. i get on the off ramp already swearing about it.. and then i see the tank go from Empty to Full.. ohh really cute. anyways make a longer story even short i need a "new fuel pump" i was wonderin if this is a long job or something thats gonna take like an hr.. its still under warranty god bless the 7yr..

Good thing for the 7 year!

If you take it to the shop youll be out a solid day if you make an appointment for a morning.

Im wondering tho if it IS the fuel pump... There's an assembly there, the fuel level sender unit is not a part of the pump itself. Its probly a bad ground somewhere.

Yea it sounds like a Fuel Circut Sender Failure, I've had that before. But I think they replaced the fuel pump anyway.
