ok..sooo...here's my question....
i have blue underbody neons.... my engine bay has a red theme.....i planned on getting red accent neons for the engine bay...then thought for a second of 2 things....
will they shine through the bottom and mix in with my underbody....and will they shine through the front grill and glow out that way...i'd prefer to have one color on the outside....so should i go with blue in the engine bay...or will i be safe with red??

It's my experience that the underbodies themselves don't shine much through the engine bay. And nothing seems to shine through the grill unless it's placed right behind the grill. I think the only thing that might mix is if the neons in the engine bay go through to the bottom of the car, but I don't see that happening either since the underbodies don't seem to shine up through. This shouldn't be a problem, it's all about placement. You should be able to easlily keep the two colors seperate.

That would be my choice...I've seen a lot of cars with a different color neon theme in the engine bay than they have on the exterior. I actually was thinking about doing this since I have underbodies and I wanted to do the engine bay, but I need to finish my interior neon first. Good luck, post pics when it's done!

hmm..that's not a bad idea. I have blue neons and a red engine bay too, but I have a 6"blue tube attached to the underside of the hood, and you really can't see it shine through....that is until I put a 10" tube right by my grill. As for the underbodys shining up, you'd have to cut a hole in that plastic cover where the front neon is attached to, but even then, the glow will only get as far as the lower grill.

I think it would also be worth it to spend the 2 bucks at Radio Shack or Home Depot and wire the engine bay neon(s) through a switch. That way, they can be off while you're driving and you won't even have to think about colors blending.
