I started redoing my dash , it was already painted silver. I sanded down the paint with 220 grit sand paper, then used filler primer , waited till it was dry, then I sanded with 400 grit, then started applying the black paint in short increments. Now the crap looks like this! What do I do???

i just painted mine. it HAS to be nice out or the paint dries like crap. even if it was a nice night it still came out hazy.

Sand it some more? ;) seriously.. let it be known, black is a VERY thin paint.. always has been always will be.
if you normally take 3 coats to get a nice layer of paint with a good cover.. take at least 6 and cut the amount applied per layer in half.. so same paint only twice as many coats..
I've had similar problems with black on filler primer.. i just went very lightly (first coat was almost invisible).. you'll get it.. don't worry. :)

Why dont u fiberglass those and then paint them. IMO, that would yield a much higher quality after painting. Yeah, alot of work, but much prettier.
