i just got an 1800watt A18001DQ class D amp and 2 - 10" AW1006Q flame Q subs off ebay. they all work perfectly. just put them in their boxes last nite, with the amp only at about 1/3 power. those things pound like a mo-fo!! i ran them for about a 45 min only on acc, the engine off, and it only sucked .2 volts, not 2, .2!!!! on the stock battery.

also, i dont know if all of our cougars are the same, but mine sounds like it has 10 rolls of dynamat in it because there are absolutely no rattles other than one of my visors. with the system cranked, windows up, it raises your hair, but you can barely hear anything from the outside, its great.

Damn, must be nice to have nothing rattle, but Im ususally ripping panels apart so they are a little loose on the tabs. I have seen that amplifier push 6 JL w3's to the point of total excursion....it has a great deal of power...use it wisely-

That is the setup I wanted to get, but my monetary status wouldn't allow it. I ended up with 2 audiobahn AW1000Q 10" subs instead, pushed by a Coustic 400W*1 RMS amp. I recently upgraded to 2 MB Quart Q series DVC 12" subs pushed by an Alpine 300W*1 amp. The amp is actually putting out 1200 W at a 1 ohm load. The **** pounds, with no rattles in or out. The only noise outside the car are the little airvents in the trunk, you can hear the flaps outside the car. I don't know if you guys know what I am talking about, but I will probably seal the vents to make it even sounder outside. Well, anyway, nice setup man. Maybe one day I can afford such a setup, too. Be careful with that amp.
