Im going to emboss a cougar emblem on my moonroof headliner and want to know the best way to get the fabric off, torch, razor blade scraper, without messing up the metal. whats your thoughts

i just tore it off. didnt hurt anything. Then you re cover it with any fabric you want to make airbrushing easier.

a putty scraper and then sanding it all smooth after works great..

You say you simply recover the moonroof with the liner you want.. as if it is simple.. hell maybe it is but how do u get that liner to come flush with the edges and make it look nice? did u use 3m spray as an adhesive? My car is black, and i think im gonna do a black headliner, with painted gray pillars and possibly dash.. i have no idea what itd look like? Stupid? Wish i knew whatd look like, dont wanna do it and come out back.. might leave dash totally alone.. so would the gray pillars look gay by themselves?

well just a follow up on my previous post.. i didnt want to risk breaking the moonroof off the track so i left it on while simply puttin the new headliner over the old and tuckin it right up and around the previous headliner on the moonroof.. theres enough space there to easily do that and it keeps it clean cut... overall the whole process was fairly easy and makes a huge difference over the ugly tan that was there!!!
