Yep, you are right Carlos, the modding did start today! During our school break between classes, Matt and I managed to istall his reverse ingiglo gauges in just enough time for him to get his last class. Tomorrow, I have to dig out my ZN wheels, and my falken tires, get em mounted and put em on the car. Later this week,.......WAX!!! And finally, I want to space out my damn letters. Sheesh!

YES, my car has had so much neglect. It's time to do some work.

wtf

Yeah I finally got my car back from the body shop. Got that really bad eye soar taken care of (huge dent on passenger side), plus Kaminari fiberglass hood, Z3 fenders, visteon spoiler. Got it home and threw tail light covers on, little interior trim. Im liking how it looks now. I just need Chris to have a free day and teach me how to do brakes. Then I'd be set for a while.

Damn!!!!! next up.. bodykit?

wtf

Seth:........Nope, definately next up is rims. I'm really not positive Im going to get a body kit. I really do want one eventually, but for the price and how easily it will get messed up (potholes, etc) Im not sure if its worth it. Either way I probably won't have anything new till next year. This set me back a bit.

Pablo:.......Yeah definately. I dont have a digital cam. I took before pics with a regular camera, but I'd love to have new pics on the computer. Thanks Pablo, I'll give you a call.

My kit is here! All the way from Canada. Carlos is holding it ransom ;) I'm so excited.

But on a sad note, I hit 50,000 miles today :( and I'm getting my brakes done ::sigh:: My warranty is almost up. Anyone else in the 50k club, too?

Within the next 3 weeks, mine will be in the 30K club, and 6k out of the 3\36 factory warranty. I guess I will have to start looking at extended warranties. Ugh, more money to spend.

Seth

--------------------BEGIN HIJACK-----------------
Well, Carlos,

You have a few different options with the Ford Extended Service Plan. They have a few different prices depending on how high mileage you want your car covered and how many years past the 3/36 factory warranty. Also, I recommend getting the plan thru the website, because dealerships will jack up the price to make a few bucks themselves. When I purchased a Ford ESP plan for the 99 white cougar, the dealership offered the exact plan for 400 more than the online quote I got. So, check out the Ford ESP website (http://www.ford-ESP.com) for a price. Good luck, and I hope this helps.
------------------END HIJACK---------------------

And now, lets get back to our regular scheduled thread.

Carlos....if you can, do me a favor.....go to that website Pablo mentioned and choose BASE, 3 YEAR, 48,000 and put 22,811 as your current mileage. I just want to know if I got ripped bad, but I cant do it myself because I already have the extended plan and it knows this by my VIN.
Let me know the price quote....again, if ya can.

thanks

I bought the ESP when I purchased my car used, because it had almost 34k miles when I drove it off the lot. So, I'm covered up to 5 years/60k miles. But I'm pretty sure that it's 60k miles total, not 60k plus the original 34k. So, in less than a year, I'm basically screwed.

Yup, all plans are a continuation of your current year/miles you have on your car. When I purchased mine for the white cougar, since it only had 7200 miles in over a 1.5 years of use when I bought it, I continued the plan for a total of 5yr 60k, not needing to go higher since my mileage was so low. But now, my new will hit the 36k mark before its 2yrs old, so I have to do a 5yr/75k esp plan to take in mind all the extra miles I have on this cougar.

im in the 50k club, actually 50k+ club. I only had 29K when i drove mine off of the lot, but i got an extended warranty at the dealer for up to 75,000 miles. I forgot how much it was, but when i bought the car it wasnt THAT much extra. so i still got another 20K miles under warranty

wtf
04-01-2003, 12:42 AM
I drove off the lot with 22, 811. Since this was my first "new" car I knew nothing about warranties so I only purchased the 2 year 24,000 mile warranty which I think I got raped on if you (matt) say you didnt pay much for 75,000.
I also find it odd that my warranty terms arent even offered on that website. Thats the reason I took the 2 year deal cause the price was high.
What do these warranties usually go for? Im still trying to find out. :banghead:

New BaseCare, 36 mo/48000 mile plan
Select A Deductible Price
$0 Deductible $610.00
$50 Deductible $530.00
$100 Deductible $485.00

this is with the info you gave me paul and my VIN number

does this sound good to people? (im trying to get opinions)

wtf

Ouch, thats what I was afraid of. My plan is 1 year/12,000 miles less, and I paid $215 more.
