I see you have a question mark by the time for the meet. would you be able to start the meet earlier? Starting April 6th I'll be working Sundays, I work in Lakeland on Pipkin Rd so I would probably need to leave at 12noon? to go to work by 1pm.

I will be fired if I do that, I can't under any circumstances be late or call out for the first 6 months (which means I'll probably miss Fest too depending on how they do their math) they are very strict about this retarded policy... :(

Pinhy

I might be in the middle of my kidney transplant but it's going to take me being cut open to miss this...LOL...Where do you work on Pipkin??...I live in Lakleand and someone owes me a bomb threat...Don't ask me why they owe me, just believe me...I'm kidding, I'm kidding...11am is pretty damn early for those Tampa people, I don't think you'll get him to change it.

Can't wait to see you guys again!!!!!

Oh...put me down for one of the "3-4 cases of soda"

i'll get 2 Coke, 2 Nestea if that sounds good. SO someone else can get other sodas.

We'll also need a few coolers, I can bring one. Drinks went faster than anything else last year, so we need to keep 'em cold.

Shiva, if you want to arrive around 10 that would be fine, I know I'll be there early to set up anyway.

Sorry Shayne, we could have beer at the park if I buy an insurance policy for the day but then it would cost much more than $5 per coug.

Murphy - I'm still thinking on what to do about work. We'll def be there around 10 then, I'll help set up if you want some extra help :) Do you know how far away the park is from Pipkin?

Fred - I work on 3535 W Pipkin Rd @ GEICO; what did you have in mind ;) lol

We have a couple coolers we can bring, they are med size.

We'll bring cake cookies and some soda

Anyone know something good other than being sick that I could use as a non-fireable excuse please send me a pm; I don't think a cracked tooth would work they might want a doctor's note and a dentist probably isn't open on Sat/Sun? :(

Morph

I had a thought...

What if, instead of the burgers and hot dogs, we did pizza instead? This way no one has slave over the grill all day and there is no delay for seconds.

I could replace each of the grill related items on the picnic list with one large, one topping pizza. Whoever volunteers for pizzas can just bring the money to the picnic and we'll order delivery from there so everything is fresh.

What do you think?

THUNDERCAT2K
03-21-2003, 05:50 PM
i don't know, maybe in pennsylvania you would bring pizza to a picnic, but down here i think hot dogs hamburgers sounds good, either way i would still come, but bbq seems more at place in a picnic then pizza.

Salmonchow
03-21-2003, 05:50 PM
Much easier....We can still bring cookies and crap right?...I needs my sweets!!!!!

yes michelle please cook... i have this thing with grills. i can make a 1/4pound burger into the size of a dime.. dont think anyone would want that. lol

Morph
03-22-2003, 02:50 PM
Okay, as long as someone doesn't mind cooking all day I guess we can do the grill thing. I was just trying to simplify things, but burgers and dogs are cool. Any volunteers for grill duty please PM me, maybe we could even do it in shifts if more than one person volunteers.

Alright, well just talked to Morph and I will definitely try and drive up for this, better be a blast! :) I'll see if I can get some other S. FL members to come up with me as well.

I'll be there, but probably not till after noon, maybe as late as 1pm.

So, I can either bring more cookies/brownies, or bring ice to chill the 3rd, 4th, whatever round of drinks. Put me in the list for either one -- I'll check it & bring that item.

I may bring my daughter -- she's been bugging me to come to CougarBash & CougarFest, and this sounds like a better event for her. If she comes (both in my coug), will we owe $5 or $10?

Marge

Morph
03-24-2003, 07:49 PM
Only $5 per coug Marge, there's no charge for extra guests. As long as no one brings 10 'extra guests' we should have enough for everyone.

Goodness, I must have missed this thread a bunch of times. :stupid:
Count me in :grouphug:
I'll bring the ice.

I'm looking forward to seeing Chris' car. I haven't seen it since it got all done.
I'm going to be taking alot of pics :)

Haven't had a Cougar/Contour meet in awhile... :)

If you guys don't mind chipping in $5 per car to help cover the cost of the facility and maybe bringing some snacks you're more than welcome to come.
