Time for some commitment guys. Interford 2003 is upon us and if last year is anything to go by then it will be a blinder. Max Power is the same weekend so we could make it a whole weekend event, Max on the Saturday and Interford on the Sunday, staying over in a hotel overnight. It is on the 6th July 2003 at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon near Birmingham so it's not far from Max Power. Tickets cost £6.50 if booked well in advance so who's keen?? There is the Heritage Motor Museum there with classic cars as well as traders stands with items for your cars and other attractions such as Demonstration Rides and a pub!! Let me know guys either by e-mail at andycougar@hotmail.com, replying to this post or give me a call on 07968 314065.
Well here is your first ticket sold, i am in

I am absolutely gutted.
I have just realised that weekend falls smack bang in the middle of my holiday and I will not be able to make it.
For those of you who did not go last year it was a cracking weekend and it will probably be even better this year.
Check out the website for further information Interford (http://interford.co.uk/index.php)
Not only does it give details of this years show but also reports and photographs from last year.
Well worth making the effort and supporting the Club.
I'm off to sulk now....
Jason J

just wondering are we going as a club stand etc or is this going to be a meet at interford and then a meet at max??
We will be going as a club and will be have our own club stand as we did last year, we had 11 cougars on display last year

Damn good day out last year.
Count me in again this time 'round.
At least this year I've managed to get some mods done.
Stu.
Jason J
03-14-2003, 05:27 AM
well my cougars not that modded yet but 99% certain i can get there only thing that might stop me is my wedding not long after that date so hopefully ill be able to get everything sorted to be there!!. Any info been posted on where to get tickets/more info on it?.
It does not matter if your Cougar is modified or not, all tickets and info are being dealt with by Andy T his details are on the events and contact us pages on the website.
I'm in for both days. Had to rearrange some things but Interford was really good last year, for those that couldn't make it.
Andy, will not need accommodation and will pick up remainder of info as you update.
Regarding my earlier interest in Sixfields, June15th, Northampton I will not now be able to keep that one as a result of commitment into Interford/Max Power.

do we buy the tickets direct from you andy or is there a number to call to book them whats the start finish time etc?
AndyT
04-04-2003, 06:34 PM
I count six people at the moment. Need more guys and girls. All tickets/passes will be handled by me once numbers are confirmed. The sooner we get this one sorted, the cheaper it will be as tickets get more expensive the closer we get to the event so who else is in??
AndyT

Hi Skinful
Hopefully I will be in for at least Sunday(Interford)
All the best
Mike you know i will be at this one to
Once again it is the same people who are interested, we now have nearly 200 members and as i have said on the notice i have posted on the club website if no one is interested in supporting the club at the major Ford shows etc then there will no longer be a website or a club, once the website domain name is up for renewal later this year if suport does not improve then the site will close

That'd be a damn shame,
This seems to be crazy that people have bothered to register with the club and not then take advantage of the organised events.
To anyone who has never been to a show or meet then pull your finger out and make the effort. God, is the rest of your life so important that you can't make it or are you just too LAZY ??
Personally I'd love to clap eyes on some of our members cars that have never come to a meet before.
Just think 200 MEMBERS !! That would be one hell of a convoy.
Lets show Damo' some appreciation for his efforts
Stuart.
Too important not to be kept at the top.
I' m still in for Interford. How about you?
Jason J
05-09-2003, 05:58 PM
i agree i think its a shame that the rersponse has been that bad that damo is thinking about not carrying on with the club some other members must have a reason for joining the club CMON PEOPLE:disgust:

To keep it fair and above board (although bribes of a suitable size will be considered!) I will take bookings from this posting in order.
So if you want to come get your name down quick!
To gain maximum discount we must have bookings finalised and paid for before the end of the month.
Mike.
Yep...want to do this!!....back from my hols the day before so can only get to Interford, and as long as i get early flights... I'll be in a coherent state!!
Just post details of how you arrange to meet etc!

Fairly local to Gaydon and only £48 per room according to website.

I'd love to go to this but I work weekends.
I'm trying to swap my days off so I can attend but it's tricky.
How long have I got before numbers and such are finalized and what time is kick off?
Is it the sort of event that would keep the wife and kids happy for the day?
It's on my birthday and I may get it in the neck if I slope off all day.
last question - YES !
Last year was excellent. Also a good vechile museum and a decent restaurant & cafe inside.
Qualify my initial answer - YES ! (but it helps if she/they like cars/bikes !!). Anyway it's your burfday - who's in charge?
Well you could ask if you could go !
See you there.

Last call for Interford........
I want to get our booking in before the end of this month. Two reasons for this, firstly we save money on tickets and secondly we hopefully get a fairly central stand.
Price of Interford tickets.
Adult Entry £4 <u>per person</u> (Entry price on the day is £8!)
Children £3 each (6-16 years, under 5's free)
Show Passes £2.50 each, which includes a Show Plaque.
Example. If you have one car with 2 adult passengers then the total cost will be £10.50. I know this may be obvious but I don't want any confusion come the day!
May I suggest that you let me have cheques by next weekend so that I am not chasing around at the last minute.
I will email everyone who has said they are coming my address.
If you want to stay at the hotel can I leave you to make you own bookings please? I would have thought the sooner the better!
Come the day I would imagine everyone will met at, say the hotel, and go from there. If anyone cannot make this then you will have to let me have a stamped self addressed envelope and I will post your tickets to you.
Any questions?
Mike.

At last it is good to see we have finally got some support for this event, those of you who are planning on staying at the hotel please E-MAIL (uk.cougar@virgin.net) me as i am also thinking of staying there it would be great to have a get together the night before just like we did last year
Forget it that Premier Lodge is full on the 5th July no rooms the next nearest one that has rooms is at Silverstone Premier Lodge (http://www.premierlodge.co.uk/locator/details.jsp?id=602) i am going to book into there

Just a thought not sure if anyone would be interested or if anyone new of how to do it...
How about when we go to Interford that we invite either Fastford or another motoring magazine to do a piece on the meet or similar...just trying to think of another way to get more interest in the club...
Any thoughts on this? :cover:

Does anyone have the 2002 Interford CD ROM / DVD 'cause mine doesn't work and never has.
I'd be really interested to see the footage.
If they do could you please bring it to Gaydon this weekend and I shall post it back to you once I have watched it.
