does anyone have a gas gauge problem?
I have had my gas sensor replaced twice already and i will be bringing my car in again tomorrow.
Once i ran out of gas when my gas gauge was telling me i had 65 km's of gas left, the second time i filled up my gas and drove away not noticing until five minuites later that my gas gauge still shows me what i had before i filled up, this happes often so needles to say i will bring it to get fixed again.
I've had that problem (gas gauge showing empty right after I filled up) a few times. I don't know what the cause is, but after a few minutes, I shut the car off, and restart it, and the gauge works fine.
I know this isn't the answer you were looking for, but I just thought i'd let you know you're not the only one with the problem. :)

in some circumstances, there is a problem with the float in the tank forgetting how it floats - i had that issue w/ mine, replaced under warrantee. that's really the only thing i can suggest too.

what i think happened the time i ran out of gas was that after the amount of KM's driven while the gauge is showing empty is the amount the electronic gauge was out so i may have drove 65 km's in total with this problem, so when i reached 65 km's on my gas gauge i was really on empty.

While filling up, if I don't completely shut the ignition switch off, ie to keep the radio running, the guage won't reset when I start the car up. So now, I turn the ignition off completely, then push the radio button to keep it playing.
The only other problem I've had can be read at this link ->gas/engine problems due to Shell gas. (http://www.fastcougar.com/forums/arcmessageview.cfm?catid=35&threadid=44150&highlight_key=y&keyword1=shell&keyword2=gas) Others talk about other fuel tank related issues.
Keep in mind though, that Shell has apparently rectified the problem with their gas, but I'll never go there again, unless I have no other choice. I still get pissed-off every time I think of the hassels their gas put me through, and all I got was $20 for my troubles.

I can actually answer this question!!! In regards to your sticky full reading... this is actually pretty normal, it use to happen to me all the time... i don't know when it stopped... but it only seemed to happen at certain gas stations.. anyways... i wouldn't worry about it too much... In regards to your gas to empty reading... DO NOT RELIE ON THE READING. the reading itself is defulted by estimating only... there is no actual sensor to tell give you an acurrate reading. So if your driving on the highway a lot on one tank, then decided to drive in town and highways the reading will show that you have more gas to empty then you really do.. I ran out of gas once too... hehe... anyways... its nice to give you an idea, but your dash "old school" reader is a much more acurrate resource.. i hope this help... Goose

this happens to me sometimes too....but even if i wanted to take it in while i was under warranty, i wouldn't have been able to "reproduce" the problem for the dealership and they would have told me to lick their ass.
it's not that big a deal anyways, it happens once in a blue moon, and i'm never stupid enough to have so little gas in my car that i'm in danger of running out :)

I also had this problem, but this was on my LS. They found the problem to be with the fuel sender. Once that was replaced, no problem ever again.
