Do you guys think it is worth having the TV's in the back of the headrests, for the rears? I am not showing my car, but it will be at all the cougar fests. I am not sure if it is worth spending the 600 to get them put it. Let me know!!!

Yeah my way of thinking.....tv's in the head rests are only for 4 door cars/suvs......

600 for a pair of screens would be worth while, having them on your headrest wouldnt be worth it.
Visor screens and dash would be ideal places.
Most common is the in dash DVD systems, but not safe- like just yesterday I finished an install in a new Camry. The screen is dead center on the dash, and its all you can see while driving, which is a call for a new bumper in a few days from smashing into someone. Even though watching screens while driving is illegal, still you have those who want to "show" it off. So at that, just get 1 screen for the center of dash and have it run to open with the parking lever engaged. Just to be safe-

I already have an amazing system in the car, which you will all c at cougar fest, but i was taking the car in for the katzkin leather custom interior, so i wanted to see if i should get TV's in the head rest, because i already have an in dash one in the fron tdead center. Anyway i CANCELLED the TV install because of 2 reasons.
1. I would rather spend the money on something worth it, because i dont think you will ever see them unless someone is in the back
2. After thinking about it, i have the one peice front seats, and if i put it in the head rest and put the seats back to realx as a drive like i usually do, People watching the TV's wont be able to see them?
Wut do u think of that?

True to minimal visibility of the tilt of the screen. And it would be right in their face.....so I again favor not having them in the rear area- Do you have any pics of your set up or are you going to wait till the meet to show it?

Yea get a motorized one that goes in the dash. My friend has a Panasonic one in his WRX, it's really nice. It slides out and up, and swivels around. Good quality too. I'd get one but I don't have any room in my dash right now, and my shifter is in the way.

yes, could we see pictures of your amazing system? I saw some pictures that you had online in your yahoo account and I saw a screen in your heater vent area... was that all that you were referring to having or have you done more? ever think of molding it to the shroud and making it look like a solid piece?

id say $600 is a bit much for that anyways

places around here do installation of 5" tv screens for $225 a piece

but your not doing them anymore so it doesnt really matter

Looks like one of my old system's- damn nice. Only thing different about mine was a pair of Polk/Momo subs{first edition} ...and Phoenix gold amps were 500.1's. I tried the boxed trunk style like how there are 2 flat sides, but I kept having flat tires during that time as a carpenter....so that whole system had to go.....damn I wish I still had it, sounded perfect!!!

I think that you need to take a couple of lessons from excelcier. He is the electronics guru. And his setup is tight as hell. Your TV monitor looks like it was glued on and i am telling the truth when i say that it looks like ****. U need to go back to whoever installed that for you and get your damn money back. Fix it the right way and then u can talk **** up but until then don't say a word. j/k

eventually i am going to have a peice made so the tv setup will look better, and no it is not glued on, it has a leather [eice made to go on the dash in place of the vents. When i can afford to have the peice made i will, if you guys know anyone who can do it for a good price, i will , and by the way if you have anything better then you can talk **** otherwise shut the f*@* up!!
