Hey! I just wanted to introduce myself. I own a 1999 ATX Cougar...ya, ya, I know it's an ATX but my parents wanted me to have an automatic and they bought the car....I know I will take a lot of flaming for that but I am not just some spoiled little rich kid who gets everything handed to him...I am a good student, a good kid, and they felt they should reward me, so hey, what the hell! LOL I don't plan on doing too much mod wise seeing that it is an automatic and I don't want to pour too much money into it. Well, I just wanted to introduce myself and hopefully I will meet some new people and learn more about Cougars! Oh ya, anyone here in the Philly area?

Welcome to NECO.
You'll find lots of members have ATX for a variety of reasons.
And as someone who's had a parent buy a vehicle for me, I make no judgements as to how you came by your ride.
Have fun!

Hey, thanks a lot to both of you for making me feel welcomed! I was a bit apprehensive posting seeing that the common stereotype seems to be that anyone's parent's who buy them a car is a spoiled little rich kid. I'll admit my parent's are well off but I got the car for 17 years of good grades and staying out of too much trouble. I will look for the Keystone NECO memebers, hopefully I can find some people in the Doylestown area. Thanks again!

Ya, I saw that in the Keystone NECO section. Sounds fun but unfortunately I am busy this weekend.
Your ATX is not a big deal. I had a 2000 ATX and loved it. If your really hung up on the lagging performance of your ATX, there's always level 10. :wiggle:
Welcome to the forum. If you need anything just ask. :)

This may sound dumb but what is "Level 10."
Level ten is a place located in Northern New Jersey which specializes in transmission upgrades. Their work reduces drivetrain loss and makes your transmission capable to handle more power and torque. I'm not an expert by any means on this subject. It may be beneficial to use the search feature and type in "level ten". Also, a Neco member by the name of Pgtatx is also very knowledgable about the subject if you should choose to ask him.
Welcome to the boards. I live in keystone about 15 mins outside philly and drive an ATX as well.
