RX7 with 5 liter v8 locked up after timing ends and slid into this post. Supposedly something broke on the car causing the lockup.

I think in most regions, thats a DNF.

Check your local rule book to make sure.

Ouch!

I would think the lap should still count... the guy crossed the timing lights, didn't hit any cones... no penalty. Although, I'm sure what time he got was the last thing on his mind!

Thats why I like the airfield we run on, there's nothing solid to hit unless you TRY to hit it.....

Supposedly his rear brakes failed. This was the first time that we ran at this location, I didn't like it too much. It's smaller than the normal place we run at, and we had over 300 people run so it was a zoo.

300!?!?!?

Jeez, what was it, a 30 second course everyone ran 2 times? Thats probably about all the time ya'll had.

3 runs, mine were around 38 seconds. The track owners jipped us on having an extra 100 feet of lot with no notice so they had to shorten the course when they setup on Saturday anyways.

Had a 15 minute delay when some numbnuts corner worker ran through the timing lights to pick up a cone. Then around an hour or with the car wrecked. Wasn't exactly a fun event to be at. At least it didn't rain.

Try being the guy working the timing computer and have 2 cars on the track when someone does that.

I had a starter step through it TWICE trying to pick up a candy wrapper.......
