ok, I wanna get this thing installed soon and being that allmost everyone in Toronto has one, I was wondering if any of you guys can help me. My dad is never home to assist me, and I don't trust any of my friends here to take their time to help me out......especially since they all own mini trucks and only one of them is even excited I'm doing somthing to my car.

Any takers?? I'll bring the beer!

I'm wanting to do this on a Friday or Saturday....Lemmie know.

Thanks,

Dan

EDIT: And I'm not asking anyone to drive here....I'd be willing to go there.

I wanna have it done by the end of this month (March).....hopefully.

Edit: add Struts/lowering springs aswell (just stepped on a strut cut my toe, and realized I forgot it) haha

i'm always up for a mod meet, if you make it closer to the end of the month or atleast when the weather is nice i'l bring the cougar out,
if you plan on doing the suspension and RSTB on the same day, you might aswell be in your own neighbouhood, juuuust incase

give me the time and the date, i'l help you drink that beer, after a couple i wont care how cold it is

well....if you guys wanna come to London for it....I can see about getting the lift in the shop for a day (If my mechanic will let me :))

I was thinking of just doing the bar in the laneway and getting my suspension done at another date.

doing the RSTB shouldn't be a big deal...but drew is right about your suspension, if anything you'd want to do that in your hometown. installing struts and springs can be quite an adventure...it seems pretty straightforward, but when we did mine, we found it required a little "creativity" ;)

No...my mechanic allready knows about the springs, struts, and sway bar, and the rotors..... he's doing that.....I just want the bar done BEFORE all that....to see if there are noticible differences when I switch :)

Hey
That adventure was fun Rasta. But yeah its always good to be home to do any kind of work.

But the RSTB is easy to install with the right tools. Just let us know, and we will come on out
:D

Or you can come down to the Monster Garage
LOL

A new ST200 R-STB is $150USD from CustomCougars.com (http://www.customcougars.com) or $279CDN from CTA Motorsports (http://www.ctamotorsports.com).

Hope that helps. :)

Hamill...I'm sorry, i didn't understand a word of what you said. So does this part basically keep the back end from sliding out? I hate the feeling of my car going sideways when I'm going hard at the 401 on ramp.

yes, that is exactly what it does....it will plant the rear end down...but the ST200 brace is a big sucker, it has 3 bars, one connecting rear strut towers, and two cross bases that go to the floor of the trunk...it's by far the best bar but gives you a little less usable trunk space, especially if you fold your seats down and need to carry big items. there are some other bars that just have the top bar and no cross braces. i believe one even lets you remove the bar when you need to carry big items. you have to pick the one that suits your needs....

there are 3 styles......2 are a solid bar. One a solid bar with X brace. The intent is somewhat like a rollcage for the rear. the X is better in some peoples opinion b/c it stops any bending in the rear of the car....ad believe me....the back of your cars bend somthing fierce...hence why I decided to get it.

I got mine for a good deal, James (customcougars) was trying to get rid of a few and asked me if I wanted for $120.
