The deal is, I've got a Pioneer DEH-9400 Headunit that I've had since the summer. Love it, sounds great. Yesterday it started giving me an error message though and I don't have the manual with me, I left it at school and I'm at home on spring break. The error message pertains to CD's in some way bc the radio works fine but sometimes while playing a CD, the player will just stop and give me ERROR-A0, I assumed this error message was for a faulty or scratched CD so I would put different CD's in and got the same message. It seems awfully scattered too, it doesn't happen during the same song or anything. I was just wondering if anyone else had a Pioneer product and could look up the error code in their manual so maybe it could be something I could fix or might be that the head unit has gone bad for some reason. Thanks for any help!

David

I looked at the PDF file of your owners manual online and it states it is a mechanical or electrical problem and the only remedy other than turning car on the off and switching ack and forth from sources it to service.:(

Thanks Silvercat, I went around and found that too. Tried turning it on and off and the problem continues, looks like I gotta send it to Pioneer :(

Hey no problem. I've owned several headunits so i've found online resources very helpful.

look to see if there is a "reset" button behind the faceplate somewhere....sometimes that does the trick...I dunno if your deck has one....
