YES ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST. ALTERNATOR NUMBER FIVE GOING IN. CALLED FORD TO SEE IF THEY WOULD COVER IT, NOT ENOUGH COMPLAINTS THEY SAID. FIVE ALTS IN TWO YEARS YEA!!! ALMOST MAKES ME WANT TO GET RID OF MY CAR, BUT I CAN'T I LIKE IT TO MUCH. NEW ALT HAS LIFE REPLACEMENT SO HERE WE GO.

wow, we thing our's went so the cougar is being garaged for a while, just moved so don't have $$ need some stuff for the home first.
when did your first alt go out, what mileage?
First off, please turn off the caps lock...it is quite annoying.
As far as Ford covering alts as a FSA.....dream on. Alts go bad, that is fact of life for ALL makes and models. If I were you, I would have your alt rebuilt as opposed to putting another Motorcraft alt in...and I would have your system checked to see if you have any other electronic issues that may be causing your alts to go so quickly.

Damn Mike that sucks man.... I've had my car for almost a year now, its a '99 I'm just waitin on stuff to go wrong......

Don't sit around and wait for stuff to happen...Sometimes it doesn't...I had two recalls on mine, had them taken care off and it stull purrs like a kitten...Almost 70,000 miles...I know things can still go wrong but it's not neccesarily going to happen...After what happened to yours, Chris, I don't think you have to worry about anything else...LOL...I hear it's looking really good, in the shop...Can't wait to see it!!!!!
