Chris just got excepted into Salisbury State yesterday! He will be a great addition to their track team I'm sure! He finished this indoor track season breaking a 7yr. 300m record for Anne Arundel co. and he finished 6th over all in the 300m at states this week and 7th in the 500m and competed in both the 4x400 and the 4x800 with his North county team mates. He was also excepted to York in Pa and Delaware state too but he chose his first choice of Salisbury. Whoo Hoo, now to pay the tuition! There goes all my future cougar parts!

Congrats to him...Salisbury is a good school. Whats he going for??

I'd think using his athletics and possibly academics....you should be able to get some good scholarships and financial aid.

Good luck :wiggle:

He's going to run track on Salisbury's track team for sure! Coach Jones from Salisbury is sending down his trainer next week to his high school to show him how he wants him to train now for the upcoming year ahead and for this outdoor track season. His coach informed him last night on the phone he will be sending a trainer down to his all North county track meets to coach him for each meet this spring.

Chris attended the county's Future business Leaders competition today and won third place in the county for business Law! Whoo Hoo!
And yes Ethan I guess I just answered your question... he is going to be a lawyer. After graduating from Salisbury he will apply to University of Baltimore for Law school.

Hey as crazy as this family is we could always use a good lawyer in the family!

Salisbury is an awesome school --- I had a wonderful time there. Is he living on campus or off?

Rob, he will be living on campus his freshman year, I was told by his track coach that freshman weren't allowed cars. He'll be too busy running track and keeping up his grade point average to do to much roaming hopefully. His coach told me that the track team has one of the highest combined grade point average in the east for division 3 colleges. So for the first year he will just have to survive dorm life. I'll be giving the cougar a rest (maybe selling it) and driving his camaro for 9 months I know that. hee hee! What was your major?

I was a Geography major. Pretty good department. It was, in a very true sense, very family-like. Something that I've never seen at another school.

I lived off campus my whole 3 semesters (I transferred in). I only lived a mile up the road, so I was able to ride my bike to campus. You can completely forget about parking -- I had do it for a month while I had a broken arm (from the bike riding ... minor disaster on Camden Ave). I ended up riding the bike again with my arm.

But, you'll probably notice quickly... while there's football, lacrosse, etc at Salisbury, it's not the focus of the school. Unlike College Park and the like, Salisbury is all about the students. (Thus, the reason I left College Park).
