What's up everyone? In the last couple of days, I traded my 2k silver 'Sheeba' for a 2k2 black atx kitty. Everything seems good so far, except that the guages on the spedometer (I can't spell- I'm a college student) where it goes to 240 km (I think that's right) doesn't light up; has anyone else noticed this in the new cats?? Also, on the odometer, sorry again for sh*tty spelling, on the left and right of the #'s, it's a little dark; I didn't notice that on the 2k car. Any suggestions/ similar probs primarily w/ the 2k's, or any of the years?? I'm going to the dealership this weekend to check it out, but I'm just curious on suggestions. Thanks!

Oh yeah, I thought I'd add that yes I do have the panel as bright as it can go; the little circular switch-thing is all the way to the brightest for the instrument panels!

On a brand new car, I'd doubt it's any type of alternator problem... Come to think of it, mine has always been a little on the dim side. I think that's just the way the digital display is - pre 97 vettes with the digital speedos had the same issues. Anyway, it's probably still good to get it checked out.

yeah the 240 km/hr on mine doesn't light up either and i have a 2002 black atx, i think it is like that in all of them.

I've noticed that since I've switched my gauge cluster from a '99 to an '01, they don't light up as bright as they used to either. Weird.

The 240kph mark on the 2001/2002 gauges doesn't light up; if you look at the back of the gauges it's accidentally blacked out.

just out of curiousity, is there a way to un black it out? so it can be seen.
