Does anyone know if i can install my koni struts w/o cutting the perch with ground controls?

I'm pretty sure you have to cut the perch of any strut with GC's, but not positive. Search the suspension section.
EDIT: I found this how-to. (http://www.street-concepts.net/coilover.html) It's got pictures of what you have to do.:)
Anyway, wassup? Where in SF are you? You should look into coming to one of our meets sometime.:)

Does anyone know a shop that charges decent price for me to install GCs/Konis? So far i got quoted 300 and above.

So if you have someone who will do it for $300 for all four (about 3.5 hours of shop time) .. I'd say thats not bad.. You know that they don't usually guarantee the cost on work such as that.. it is usually done on time and materials.. so it could go higher.. be careful.. ;)

There is a place in San Jose off Capital Expwy on Auto row that has done many a Contour. Had my Konis/Eibachs installed for $160. They set the toe and did a great job. Mom & pop type of place.
I think its called DJ's performance.

I just called the place and spoke to a guy named Bill, he said full install and toe adjustments for $340. He told me that the installtion is different from the cougar and contour. Is this right?

No, should be the same on both cars, but extra work to install GC over normal springs.
