Hey guys, dont reply if your NOT TOTALLY sure of what your talking about.

assuming that you have all the piping and such for a turbo system. What aspects of the ecu do you need to change/tweek inorder for your car to not BLOW UP.

i already know you need to alter the a/f ratio, but what other things need to be changed. And i swear if anyone says 'custom burned chip' ill shoot someone. I mean all the intricate things, nothing general or vague.

anyone?

Uh, if you have no clue then you need to be taking it to a shop that knows how to tune these things. :)

You need to tune the air/fuel ratio/map as well as the spark timing/map. That's about all you can do in the ECU anyway. In order to do this, you'll need to either get an aftermarket item like the GReddy eManage (though apparently it's not ready to work with a Cougar ECU without modification or a special harness or something) or a custom burned chip with the new fuel and spark maps.

So,

Custom burned chip.

hehe, at least you said something useful BEFORE THE custom burned chip, pappa.

thats what i've gathered also, so basicially you could just snag a msd thingy + apexi afc controller riiiiiiiiiight?

Uh.... no. I said you need to go to a tuning shop so they can dyno the car, figure out the correct mapping for fuel and spark, and custom burn a chip for you. :)
