Well... the turbos are sitting in a box in my storage unit... and the 3.0 is at my mothers house.... The cougar is in my parking lot....
Soon... all these things will come together.

Those are garret t-25's off a 96? 300zx. A t-25 isnt capable of making enough boost to be effective on a 2.5L engine. However.... It makes IDEAL boost for say... 1.5L.... SOOO>..... you stick two of em on a a 3.0 and have FUN.
Problem is this thing is going to be expensive. Unlike most people on here I dont like to do things over and over again putting more and more money in because I didnt make the original investment. SO.... in order to save later... im going to pay big now. I know pucks 3.0 failure was not his fault... but... in order to avoid even inocent oversights like that I plan on taking my time and addressing EVERYTHING right from the start.
heres the plan....
Replace ALL gaskets, seals, and bearings in the engine.
Leave the crank alone, its already forged... ever heard of ANYONE breaking a stock crank?
Forged con rods.
Forged reduced compression pistons w/ ringsets.
Aftermarket rod and main bearings.
ARP head studs.
Copper head gasket with interlock rings in the block.
SS valves with upgraded followers (hopefully)
Suprisingly, not much head work. Im going to port the exhaust side myself... its preaty safe. I do plan on having a valve grind done.
Stock cams.... too much money for aftermarket at this time. Heck... i can always recam it later.
DMD---- nuf said
Electric water pump. Notice that pic does show the lack of a pully on the left bank....
LSD... of course
Upgraded half shafts
Upgraded hubs/bearings
Better then svt clutch to hold all this together
New oil pan.
Thats the plan so far.... Im SURE i will find more junk i need.
I plan on using the 3.0 intake manifold too...
The only thing im not sure about right now is if im going to put the tubos on before in install the engine. I KNOW i will fit them up before i put the engine in. But im thinking it would be best to break in the engine and work out the bugs for a little bit before fitting the turbos.
Dunno... lots and lots of money. I got my Girlfriend braces at $4K so I figure Im going to be allowed to mod freely up to at least that amount. :)))))))
