Hey,
I got the Pioneer DEH-4400 at Best Buy for $80 because it was a open item and came with no harness. The retail on these babies is $150 so I did well. Where can I pick up a harness for this other then ordering one from Pioneer? Thanks.

Go to Circuit City or Best Buy. They don't sell them out in the shop, but I lost the harness to my Sony when I took it out of my old car. I think retail for a stereo harness is about $20.00 on the internet, and Crutchfield didn't have them. So I went to Circuit City and told the guy in the car audio section what stereo I had and what I needed, and he gave me the harness for free!!! He said because they do installations they had extra ones laying around. I'm assuming Pioneer is the same as Sony, all harnesses are standard, it just depends on the number of pins your stereo takes, so they should have one. If they won't give it to you for free, they'll probably cut you a break on it.

If its the one that goes directly to the back of the head unit, you can call, i think 1-800-Pioneer and order one. But 1st check out Bestbuy or Circuit city, and talk to the guys, sometimes they have extras lyin around from the display models (but you didn't hear that from me). ;)

Yea, I installed a Pioneer head unit in my Cougar over the summer. Went to Best Buy and bought the harness for like $15 or something like that, makes it sooo easy to install, took me maybe 30 minutes to install after I got that. Good luck!
