Also, will a shift boot fit on here? Or, is there a special e-brake boot? Thanks again.

Im pretty sure that a special boot is needed....... but it seems like all e-brake boots are about the same in size......

find a universal one....

Come on people!? Nothing? Crispy? I can't figure out how to get those little plastic tabs unhooked that are down where the boot connects. Please help!!!!!

Thanks Adam, but I know how to remove the handle. I want to take off the black rubber boot around the actual handle. Thanks anyway though.

You probably don't want to hear this, but.....
you have to break the tabs off and glue the new one back up. I know this because I had to replace mine because it was cracking and the dealership changed it for me. But make sure that you use something better then superglue, cause now mine is not attached anymore. Leave it to ford to think of a design like that. If you take off the whole center console then you could probably grind off the ends of the plastic tabs that hold the boot in and give yourself a better chance to remount a new one. Good luck.

The best way I have found to reattach the boot is to glue the bracket back on with an epoxy such as JB Qwik.
