You gotta be nearby Brockton tho...

I failed inspection and need to put my CAT back in. Yea, I know what your thinking but I wanted to see if she'd pass emissions.

Unfortunatly, they now check under the car (didn't last time) and I'm guessing the dual exhaust gave it away... :(. Shouldn't take me more than 20min to swap it out, then hit up another inspection, pass, and swap it back out again.

Oh get this, I had a www.newcougar.org plate frame they made me remove because it covers up "The Spirit of Massachusetts" on the plate and that's illegal. GAY!

some laws are just plain dumb...

it should have passed emissions even with the aftermarket exhaust, etc...
was it the exhaust that they didn't like or the y-pipe or both?

i know when i had to go have my car inspected cuz my exhaust was "too loud...".... they didn't even look at it or under the car or anything.. they just tested it with a dB meter. on the warning ticket i got the officer didn't put anything about noise, just "illegal exhaust (or muffler, i forget)" but they didn't even look at it... maybe they're a little more relaxed here?

Well, I guess every few years they gotta check for a CAT. This happen to be that year.

It failed the visual emissions inspection, he didn't even run the emissions test itself because it had no CAT. But get this, I have a big orange "R" sticker now, but it's good till 2004 so in a way I can legally drive for a year with that right?

Are you serious? That is the gayest thing I've ever heard. Spirit? Where's the spirit in fixing the damn roads? Spirit my ass.

Hey, J, they didn't say anything about how loud is was?

Oh, and check the sticker real good. IIRC you have a month to fix it and bring it back.

They didn't even check how loud it is. He just looked under the car and saw no cat. I told him there are like 3 more still in there, so he just did the other tests & gave me the rejection sticker.

I didn't read the fine print, but the sticker does say along the side "EXPIRES 2004"
