After a long wait of 2 months i picked up my car on friday look good but learned a valuable lesson TO always GET IT IN WRITING. I didn't get my flame job in writing and ended up paying twice as much as told originally. I learned from this mistake and i hope everyone else will too.

That sucks. Is it more than what you told me when we talked? custom_images/emoticons/shocked.gif

Glad you finally got the car back though, can't wait to see it!

I ended up paying about $ 650 more than what we talked about. Troy did my car. don't get me wrong he did a good job it just was a really bad miscommunication. Whats up with the car show in OC this coming up week March 1st?

I was thinking about going to that show too but they are only having about 100-150 cars at the convention center. That's not many for such a long drive. The one up Timonium fair grounds had 300 registered (it snowed and 90 didn't show) The one in the spring (May15-18) will have over 6000 entries at 5 locations though. That's if you feel like waiting.

Tommy... I should have my car back intime for Carlisle... Plan to take off that Thursday and Friday and that weekend... that is a must attend show for car shows on the east coast... I will be compiling my show schedule in march (hoping to have my car done in May) and ready to roll man... We will hit some shows up... there is quite a few big name shows in Englishtown, NJ and Budds Creek, MD this year... good place to start getting your feet wet... I would suggest hitting some local shows too like the one Karen mentioned... I did the show about 2 years ago, maybe 3 and I really enjoyed myself

Thanks

I probably won't enter many competitions this year... just have the car at shows for displays... The only shows I will compete at are like HIN and NOPI.. Its just not fair to people trying very hard to win to keep going against my cougar for say best domestic or maybe best of show...

Tommy - I thought it was Troy. I have had some problems with similiar things in the past. What does your car look like? Are the flames purple and your car silver?

Slikrthnu - yup thats me, thanks for the nice comments man! Were do you work? Where do you normally see me? I'll have to stop by and say hi.

James - Once I get my car fixed - I'll be down for a lot of local shows this year. Just give me a PM when you are going to a show! I'll tag along. (If you wondering what happened I ran into a snow/ice bank (lost traction coming into work one day). Did a good amount of damage to the front bumper and my fenders. Fiberglass needs to be fixed and fenders need to be fixed. Ripped 1/4 of the paint off too. Totally pissed me off. It was a day when I shoudlnt have had to go into work when it was snowing. Can you say Beater Car for next year? hehe Def. learned my lesson for driving the Coug in the snow. I'll post pics in the pics section tonight.

L8r everyone
~Doug
