I ran a superchip in my car for 4 months or so when i had a little accident involving someone doing some welding on my car and forgetting to disconnect the battery to incomplete the circuit. Poof goes my computer, i get a new computer and they put my same chip in the new computer and a week and half later Poof goes 2nd computer. Bad couple weeks i know, heh.
The are telling me that the reason it went bad a 2nd time is the chip. Has anyone else had problems with a superchip?
Has anyone had problems with a diablo chip?

I really enjoyed the performance gains of the chip and don't want to lose it, but i also don't need to replace my computer again.

I realize that there is a chane the chip was damaged in the welding accident as well and hope to have an answer on that one soon from Superchip.

Any info would be great guys, thanks.

I know of a few cases where the chip actually does fry the ECU... you may want to run without it, or replace it...

I think a guy down here also had a Superchip fry his ECU, so he stopped using it. I've had my Diablochip in since June and no problems. Only had it out once when I had to take the car in for warranty fuel pump work.

Maybe the chip needs reprogramming? Are you still under warranty?
