what boxes would go good with the 12w7, the one from jl takes up more trunk space then i would like, so any help would be appreciated

You'll probably want to get a box custom made for that sub. The way they mount and the size of the sub usually won't allow it to be mounted in a normal box. Also, the recommended airspace on the W7's is pretty large, although I can't remember exact measurement. So basically any box you put it in is going to take up a good amount of room. It's just the price you pay for having such a badass sub. If you want the enclosure to be small and not take up much room, you may want to think about stepping down to the W6 or W3.

W7 will take up alot of space... the best box besides custom to use is the box that JL sells.... Look into the W6 Version 2.... its the little brother of the W7 and takes up less space.... The JL 12W7 itself is about 50lbs and 10 inches long!

thanks for the help, ill just have to use the jl box, itll be worth it
