View Full Version : Need spark plug help...please!!!

I went to Autozone to check on the Bosch platinum +4 plugs. They don't have them listed for the I4 2.0 Cougar...but they have them for the Focus. The Bosch platinum +4 plug doesn't show a gap..but on the oe part it shows the same part # but the Cougar with a .50 gap and the Focus with a .54 gap. Does anybody have any suggestions or maybe an answer. The guy at Autozone had no idea and neither do I.:confused:

they are the exact same engines, only difference is for the exhaust cam timing, and maybe a different throttle body. different engine placement too. I see no reason why the spark plugs would be different, unless the manufacturer found that changing spark gap settings had some benifit. but anyways, focus plugs are cougar plugs...

So what about the wires?? are they the same as well?? I'm thinking about getting them from ford racing but i don't knoe that they will fit. Any help???

ford racing makes wires for our car.....you can go to spmotorsports.com and get them...that's where i got mine
