Next Saturday afternoon and evening, the Southwest Chapter of CEG has the car club section reserved for the weekly car show & cruise-in at the Scottsdale Pavillions. If you've been to the Pavillions before on a Saturday night, you know it's no rinky-dink get together of crappy cars... That's why we're so lucky to have the car club row on reserve. There are some seriously amazing automobiles that come out of the woodwork every Saturday night to be put on display from 1930's hot rods and customs, to totally tricked out Vipers (on the bottle, no less!). Typical attendance is anywhere from 100 to 500 cars each week (depending on the season). Past car clubs on display have included the Corvette Club of Arizona and FerrariAZ to name a couple.
We will be starting out the afternoon at Street Flight in Mesa where a few Contour owners are doing some dyno runs. At 3pm we'll head over to the Pavillions to get set up, prop the hoods, clean up any dirty spots, and enjoy the scenery! As of now, I have only been able to come up with a couple folks here in the Phoenix area who I recognized from their signatures... If you are in AZ or CA and would like to make it to this event, please do so!
