View Full Version : Difficulty Of Installs?
I couldn't find anything really like this so I thought it would be nice to see how hard some installs seem to be from actually doing them. Rate anything you can think of (TB, MAF, UIM, Intake, Headers, Cat-back, ect.) from 1 to 10 (10 is Very Difficult, 1 is Very Simple)
I haven't done any yet but from the way it sounds intake and exhaust sound fairly easy. The time required would be nice too.

Heaers are a pain in the a$$, but can be done. I recommend a lift for that one.
Exhausts aren't hard at all, SVT UIM and TB are easy, and intakes are really easy. MAF is osrt of the intake...so you better be able to pull it off and stick it back.

I hated the headers install I say level 7 of difficulty
I have big arms and I'm fat so it was hard for me to get in
there without a lift. I had every tool known to man and
boy did they come in use that day. you'll need lots of
extensions and bendable joints for your rachet. and
lift would've helped alot

Intake - super easy
Exhaust - not hard, but depends on if your stock system is all rusted up (the bolts, that is) or not. I paid a shop to do mine because I didn't feel like doing it myself outside, in the dead of winter, in upstate NY. Plus, 1 hours labor (60 bucks) for piece of mind and welding = I'll take it.

In fact, I just saw one go yesterday for 5 bucks....course, you add the 4 dollars S&H on top of that and it's basically 10. $4 to ship a CD?!?!?!? I didn't buy it on that principle alone...
