21 people TRAMPLED TO DEATH in a Chicago Nightclub

This is crazy! It happened at Eptiome Nightclub. Apparently There was a fight between two girls, and someone used pepper spray to break it up. I guess they used too much because the whole building started to choke on it. There were 1,500 people and they were all trying to escape the building, but some of the fire exits were locked shut, so they all pushed and trampled their way out. There were people being shoved down the stairs, getting stepped on, all while everyone was choking on the mace or pepper spray. Twenty one people died just from being trampled and from choking on the gas!

The entrance was also too small, so people started piling up at the door, and it took firefighters 30 min just to get some people out!

I read that article a little while ago... damn that is crazy. The place will likely be shut down for being a fire/safety hazzard, and its owners fined up the wazoo for having locked exits!

It was actually the club itself that sprayed the mace/pepper spray to stop the fight. Then when people started freaking out and running to the exits, everyone was getting trampled on and that's how so many people died... I heard that as the police got to the scene, they originally told people to stay inside the club because they wanted to contain the problem! Apparently they didn't know what was going on.

That is such a tragedy. These people were out just to have a good time and something like this happens. My heart goes out to the families of the victims.
