Well got into a minor accident, no one hurt and luckily nothing too serious with the cougar. Front bumper ripped off, passenger fender little messed up, hood crunched near front a little, grill, headlight, foglights. I'll upload pics later.
Anyway, anyone know of a good reliable body shop that I can have my car fixed at. I'm hoping to see if I can get an aftermarket hood and bumper out of this but if I can't I need a place that is good and can match my paint as close as possible.
So let me know. BTW, saw Andy (dirtrider) drive by, his car looked pretty good with the body kit. Looks like wingswest I think.

you should be able to get aftermarket parts...I am up here in Baltimore, infact mine were just ordered. Dragon Z front, Dragon Tail hood, and z3 fenders. As long as it is ok with whatever body shop you take it too you shouldn't have a problem. Sorry I'm bored and reading up in other threads and clubs.

kinda looks like Loyalty's car has looked for the last 6 months.....but his is in tehshop as we speak and getting all his "top secret mods" done.
glad to hear you and everyone else are OK. Keep us posted on what you wind up doing. Kam hood, SW bumper...

Yeah I'd love to get a kam hood and sw front out of it, however most of my exterior looks stock. I'm going to get some 5 spoke 18's soon but probably not for another month. Any opinions how bad/good it would look with just street weapon front and kam hood, or possibly just kam hood?
I don't want my car to look like crap while I wait for new tires/rims and maybe a body kit.

What happend Jon?
If your worried about getting the paint to match just buy a wide body kit and have the whole car repainted:biggrin:
Glad to hear you were not hurt.

I love that aerogear widebody kit that james (customcougars) has, but I despise the rear. If I could convince my insurance company to do it though I would :)
What happened, basically I approached a large interesection (off Pines Blvd), I was going straight, I had green light, the people coming the opposite way didn't get a green arrow so they started getting frustrated and started to go. Guess one of them didn't see me coming or was just a stupid idiot. I had slowed way down from 45 before the interesection, and looking at the damage I dont think I was going that fast when I hit her (maybe 5-10mph). The 5mph bumper isn't damaged too badly. I nailed her in in front of the rear passenger tire right in the rear door. If I had my camera I would have taken pics at the time, instead I waited til I got home.
100% not my fault and luckily no one was hurt. If i hadn't slowed down and hit someone at 45 the cougar would probably not be repairable. BTW, while we were waiting, the police talked to me for about 1 min and talked to her for nearly 15min - they witnessed the left turn arrow was failing so as far as that goes I'm alright.

what the hell is going on with the dark green cougars. I also got into a small but very damaging accident very recently. destroyed my headlights, kaminari carbon fiber hood(which split from the fiberglass frame), and stock bumper. only good thing is hello aerogear battle bumper, and cf dragon hood and a few "other surprises" with the money i saved over the stock parts 450.00 dollars for a stock hood, i think not.:flushed::ugh:

Yeah I priced out all the parts on ford parts online that would need to be replaced on my car and its close to $1600 before paint/labor. Thank god for insurance. Hopefully I can find someone down here with a good shop that will help me out.
Think a kaminari (probably just fiberglass painted all DT green maybe black insert) on a relatively stock exterior would look alright? I still have stock rims, which I hope to replace within a couple of months, sidemarkers, springs, tail covers. Don't want to come off to ricey.
