so, everyone knows that I have recently been into an accedent...but I had this idea that I would be able to replace the parts with a body kit and I would pay the difference ($ of body kit - $ of stock). I print up prices and pictures of how it would look exactly...and as soon as I broke out the first pic, he said, "Oh, that's cr@p, you don't want that...noone will buy the car if u do that to it- keep it stock" $#%$&#%& what a D*<K!!! I didn't get out 2 sentances b4 he turns away my business....oh well, looks like it's stock body 4 me :(

-sorry so long, just had to vent...i've been P'ed off all F'ing day...

Doesn't your insurance company cut you the check and not the body shop? That's how it happened to me with my old car.

yeah, but they won't do the work for it...and now my parents are slowly siding with them...(the car is in their name)

Soon as you add a bodykit you immediatly decrease your selling audience. Depending on the kit you may not be able to drive it in the winter (or should not anyway), if that bumper gets ruined in an accident by either you or who you sold it to then insurance may not cover it because it's not a factory item. They may make you replace it with a stock bumper.

no way... i agree about making it a sleeper that was my plan untill the hit and run that happend to me. Now im going to get a kit or atleast the front bumper to a kit just because i might as well do it all at once. but yeah sleeper is a good idea, except i do believe body kits are lighter than stock bumpers and such.
