is anyone going to CF without a body kit?

I know that not everyone has a body kit, but I was recently turned down by my local body shop about putting on a kit and I would feel extreemly out of place being the only cougar with like 4 small mods...lol

It doesnt matter if you have a completely stock cougar. Heather will tell you that. It is the people that make cougarfest and the common interest of the car.
ps. not all body shops will work with body kits b/c of the time and work that may be required. also some may be just be in with insurance jobs b/c of the money they can make without doing a quality job.

They're all gonna laugh at you! They're all gonna laugh at you! Just take it easy man. Body kit or not-you're guaranteed to have one hell of a time. Besides, there is more than one body shop in your area. Just have them paint it and get your local chapter to come over and help you install. Cost would be most likely beer and pizza. I had tinted windows for my first cougarfest!

Dude, theres no reason at all for you to worry about not having your kit on, and for it not feeling at home at CF. Not everyone spends massive amounts of money on their cougars, its just about having fun and being a group together. Some people have more money thats all there is too it, some don't even want to mod their cars even though they can. Everyone just comes together and has a blast, and when I say that, I mean WOW this year will be absolutely NUTS, VA Beach holla!

I'll be there without a body kit. I never wanted one, and besides, they are very expensive. We're all going to meet new people and have fun - not to criticize.

No body kit here and I'm the sole person in Ohio to have gone to CF2000, 2001, and 2002. I AM a badass behind the wheel and as long as you are too you'll fit in well. Heck, even if youre a big puss you'll fit in. This is an amazing group of people and every year has gotten bigger and better. If you dont come I swear a few of us will hunt you down and steal your car. Thank you, I'm out.

Hey, Im going most likely without any body kits. In fact, unless my money situation changes soon I will not have any performance mods made. But hell ill still be there. Sounds like a great time. Its all about love for this underrated but amazing automobile.:naughty: So just relax and have fun. :cover:

Even if you have few to no mods at all-cougarfest is a great place to go because:
1. You see what products you like in person-not in pictures and get to talk to the owners about install/opinions.
2. Many people sell their old parts there to other owners-saving on shipping. You can get some good deals here.
3. Raffles....who doesn't want something for nothing?

im gonna be there with my whole car done just minus the paint job.... so its gonna look like a true skittle cuz its gonna be mostly primed and such.... i am in the process of starting my SW kit, side vents, roof scoop, X1 fenders, Kam Hood, kam wing, and shaving my door handles..... so its gonna be a mess color wise but looking done.

my car was pretty much stock looking when i went to my first cougarfest last year (except for my rims), and at first i felt kinda weird cuz i was the only person coming from toronto, and i was caravaning with mc-neco, some of the most hardcore modders out there ;) but what you soon discover is that everyone is there for the same reason you are, because they love their car. and nobody plays it like they are better than you because they have more mods. i think i was the only person last year that didn't go and wash my car during cougarfest to get it ready for the show....i was having waaaay too much fun getting drunk, and checkin out everyone elses ride, and being a social butterfly :tongue: and what jscullin said is really true! now that i have a lot more mods, anytime i see a stock silver cougar, i still think what a god damn beautiful car it is, and how much fun it was to transform her to what she is now.
