Gotta wait for an mtx cougar to show up around my area. Maplecrest Lincoln Mercury is taking the time to help me find a cougar to buy...MTX. I've done business with them many times and originally wanted to do buisiness with them. But for the mean time, they've given me a 2001 Cougar aTX to fool around with and I'm lovin it...can't imagine what it'll be like with a manual.
anyway. as soon as I buy the future cougar, I plan to get moddin right away. I've done an engine rebuild for my Volvo 240DL at a volvo shop. The volvo shop was generous to let me use thier lift and tools at a small price. Is there a good shop in NJ? Not for parts and stuff...but for the heavy machinery? I've found that it's useful to have a good lift, spring compressors...etc readily available when your working with your car. I live in Essex county, but I would apreciate any good shops.
If you could...include some shops that have good cougar parts. I havn't checked the search function..and i will after i finish my messege....but just incase if it hasn't already been covered...include some here.

Which Maplecrest are you referring too, the one in Springfield, or the one in Summit, I have the BEST experiences with the service guys in Summit, I should go visit again, and test drive one of their Lotusses.....:D
although Springfield isnt too bad either......which reminds me, should make a service appointment again....;)

hey pgtatx, where are you located? I'd jet over there...but still gotta be patient...argh.. Anyway, Customcougar seems to be almost a one stop shop...but I would like to know more options for forced inductions, swaps for the 3.0 L, and options for beefing up internal.
Could you Pm or email me? I'd like to stop by sometime...

I'll help you out wih whatever I can.
I am located in central NJ...smack in the middle near Freehold...
Yup, live on other side of 22, e.g Scotch Plains...you might see me FLYING around the reservation on a weekend, just for fun...,
Work in Madison (when I am NOT travelling) and this week doin' some work in Kenilworth....:)
You;re sooooo right, Summit service rocks, they ROCK soo much, that the weekend before X-mas, I went down there, with a case of beer, as a thank you for the service they have given us (alternator related, amongst a few things...). They let me sit (not drive yet) in their Lotus and the service manager was drooling and offering to help me chip/remap the Audi........so if you see him (the bolder, bigger guy), say hi from the guy in the black S4....he knows who I am....:)

The short hills mall is about 5 blocks away from my house...but not for long. I got accepted to stanford...so I'll be here only for a little more. YA...the short hills mall is really expensive. I have no money at all...the only broke kid in short hills :goofy:....all I have is my money for the cougar. Should stop by one day if your comin over. I would definatly like to see some up close modded cougar...my old modded car is my old volvo, and it's a four banger.
