I pulled up to a light, jeep got in the beootch lane. I looked over and knew right then and there
this guy was gonna try and cut me off. So I put her in low hehe I watch as the lights on
the other side go yellow and then red. And before mine turn green I start to go.
Perfect timing cause as soon as I'm about to get into the intersection the light turns green.
His front bumper is at my door. he takes off hardcore I take it from low to "2" he passes me
with ease. I'm flicking him off as he flys past me. Then I shift her into "3" and let off the gas.
DAMN!!!! another defeat This is the best part I notice as he drives past his HUGE!!! muffler hanging
out the back of the Cherokee and the neons inside bumpin to the bass. As he turns left after cutting in front
of me I yell nice pipe you F$&%ing F#@. How could he have beaten me????

You have an AUTO and he has torque. That's how.
You said Cherokee, but did you mean Grand Cherokee? If so, those had from the I6 to the 5.9. All are poweful with a ton of torque.
BTW: Nice reaction after losing.

LOL dude sorry I didn't state the fact I was in my
winter beater 91 Geo Prizm and thank you I pride myself on my
road etiquette:rofl:
The reason I was so mad was:
1.) I hate losing a race no matter what car I'm in
2.) he was in the b!tch lane and that's just not cool.
3.) he cut left infront of me and turned left immediately onto the next street
Anyway he wouldn't have stood a chance if I was in my cougar and no my coog isn't
ATX. Just though it was a funny story.
I hate people who use the ***** lane!! Even more when they don't get past me and then proceed to flick me off! I wish that they would eliminate those stupid lanes!!!! :ugh:

For a sec there I was gonna say Gyger...ATX?
Those Cherokees have balls though. My step-father used to have an MTX one. 4.0L I6 IIRC 190HP man that thing pulled like a mother for a jeep. My sister had an auto, wasnt too bad. She now has the Grand Cherokee V8 IIRC 240HP. It's bigger and feels heavier than the reg Cherokee but pulls pretty damn good too. My fav part are the seat warmers (heat).

Yeah I know Ivo sometimes I forget to tell everyone I was in the winter car and just start typing.
Yup the only time I like the b!tch lane is if one of my friends
is in it and we are fooling around. People always do that to
me when I'm driving the prizm they know they can beat me.
I can't wait until I'm done with the car and it's summer time.

A buddy of mine has a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L I6 MT and he would beat my ATX cougar by about 1/2 to 3/4 a car length up to around 80. Since I got the MTX cougar - he's procrasintating lining up against me.
Furious1 - you step-father wouldn't have happened to sell it to a red headed kid that just moved to Boston from NY???

I've taken down 2 CHerokees.. don't knwo what they were but neither of them had a chance.

If I'm on the same page as you all, here it is:
You are on a road that has 2 lanes, side-by side. Then there's a stoplight, after which the right (or left) lane ends in, like 500 feet or so. Everyone knows this, because the signs were there, but you always get these guys who will pass up a huge line of traffic and get in this "A**hole" lane, just to be an A**hole and not wait in line like a good motorist. And normally they just hold everyone up while they try to merge because they aren't fast enough or smart enough to blast by the people in the thru-lane before theirs ends, and everyone gets mad. I, of course never have this problem. Any excuse to use the high end of my RPM range, I use it.

the lane that ends after a stoplight, there are 3 lanes and 100 feet after the light there are 2. A person gets in that 3rd lane, knowing it will end just so they can pass by everyone else.

OK, well, that is an extreme rarity in Pittsburgh.
I for one, don't see any problem in passing people there though. If I get over there and my car is faster than yours, you should have no reason to get mad. For example, in construction zones, there will be a sign that says lane closed 1 mile ahead. As soon as people see that they start to merge over, yet right after that sign will be a sign that says, maintain lane until merge. It's the people who move over early that cause the backups, if everyone stayed in their lane until the merge, traffic would move just fine.

Yes but if you get in the a hole lane and cut infront of me and then suddenly turn left
be prepared to step out of your vehicle. Cause I don't like that crap:slap:

gyger you will like this one (RT. 43 going towards Rt. 76 at Rt. 261 light). We are coming up to a red light that has an asshole lane (on the right side of the road) right after the light and I see a suzuki suv swerving just a tad as if they are shoulder checking to see when they can cut in to cut us off. I tell my wife to watch, they are going to try and cut us off. Just as my wife steps on it the suv cuts us off (before the red light), once in our lane slams on their brakes, and proceeds to slow to almost a hault trying to get into the left hand turning lane. I tell my wife, well I thought they were going to cut us off, but not that bad and not like that, my wife's response, "What an @sshole!" My wife slammed on the horn while I showed them just how we both felt about that swift move with a little hand gesture. What's worse is, ok they are in the wrong lane, but right after the light they could have turned into a restaurant and turned around without trying to cause an accident. This just happened Friday night on the way to my in-law's house. Luckily our beagle was in her carrier, otherwise she probably would have slammed into the back of the front seats.
Side Note: I knew you were driving the Geo, before the clarification. I bet my wife's Bonneville can take your Geo, LOL.

yeah when there's like 1.5 feet of snow on the ground and 1.5 inches of salt on the street
I tend not to take my Cougar out. But I couldn't drive it now even if I wanted. Plus the Eclipse
is my wifes. But I get to drive it on the weekends hehe. Actually I know I would've taken him in my
F-250. Oh well. :rofl:You have a good point though with all the cars I own I had to pull up next to
this SUV rice-Master in my 91 GEO of fury!!!!!!!!!!!

LISA, QUITE?!?!?! LMFAO, heh, you haven't been around her enough man. Lets put it this way, her boss hired her at Sterling because she knew Lisa would tell the banks that they deal with, what's up, when they try to screw with Sterling. I've heard a lot worse come out of her mouth when someone cuts us off. I've had her in training ever since we started dating. She now makes the people in the @sshole lane stop to wait for an opening, no matter how many times they slam on their horn and flip us off. She makes sure to stay on top of the car in front of her if we know the person in the @sshole lane is going to try and cut us off. And to top it off, she has learned the art of the passenger telling the driver to watch out for the idiot flying up in the @sshole lane and to give info on how close they are so the driver can take the appropriate action.
