Been speaking to a few fellow Cougar Owners about an informal meeting on Sunday 16 March in the Yeovil area.
If anybody is interested in attending then please post a reply so we can get an idea of numbers and pick a suitable location.
Thanks.
Mike.

Hi Skinful
I would have loved to attend as a new Cougar owner, but am only getting back from Algarve holiday on 16th March. Maybe next time.
:biggrin:Nard'll be there!

Should be able to attend.
Haynes motor museum is near Yeovil so could be a good venue. Beaulieu may also be good, but is nowhere near Yeovil.
Tim.
Mike. Hmm that wasn't too bad getting in.
I'm in.

Just checked the calender...Its no good for Anne and I. We are off weds, thurs. Fri that week. The curse of shift work strikes again!:banghead:
:biggrin:I' ve just phoned Haynes Motor Museum as Timjford suggested it. They are open from 9.30am-5.30pm, on that day and entry is £6 to the museum (£5 for groups of 15+). There is adequte car parking and a restaurant open 10am-2pm. Check out: musuem link (http://www.haynesmotormuseum.co.uk)
Any better thoughts?
Mike,
Any update - on or not ?
I've kept the 16th March clear but this is now the only weekend I (we) have clear in March. Other then tyre pressure there are other
types !

Colin,
Yes 16th March is still on.
I guess by the lack of response to Bays note that people do not want to pay to meet! (Topical)
Bay did tell me that there is a new leisure complex in Yeovil, perhaps we could meet there.
I cannot walk, let alone drive, at the moment so any input from you two woud be a massive help. I was going to do some research but events kind of overtook me! (I will be OK for meeting though)
Cheers,
Mike.
:biggrin:Right, Leisure complex it is. Yeovil isn't really that big so not too difficult to find. If you get on the road to Dorchester from Yeovil, take a right to the town centre and the cinema/bowling etc is clearly visible on the left. It is signposted, but you can easily find it after a quick drive around the centre. Hope this is OK. I'll try and find an online map of Yeovil and post a link.
Good a decision. I'll be there.

Don't want to make it too early as people have to travel.
How about between 11 and 12?
Tim. Will your friend be coming to Yeovil?
Mike.
I'm happy with that kind of timing.

Mike,
I asked my mate, but he doesn't want to go - even the idea of a pub lunch didn't sway him. It's probably cos he has the roughest Cougar I have seen and he doesn't want it shown up.

Bay or Colin,
Can you post some directions for everyone?
I cannot find on internet, probably because I do not know what I am looking for!
Thank you.
Mike.
Mike
I don't know either ! I was going to follow Bay's posted directions if the online map didn't turn up. Bay's directions are clear although Yeovil , like most towns, can be a sod if you get into the centre and don't know the one way system!
See you there (but hopefully not in the town centre!).
Colin
:biggrin:What I though I'd do is get there a bit early and just keep beeping my horn every 30 secs and flashing my lights! Is that of any help?:stupid: The car park is pretty big so first to arrive should try and find a nice big plot for us. Bear in mind this could be round the back!!! I've searched in vain for an online map to help. Perhaps someone else might have more luck!

Hi guys. Try this Map (http://www.streetmap.co.uk/) It's what I use, quite good really. I'm going to try and make this meet as my car ICE nstall is now finished.....for the time being anyway!! My only problrm is that it is my brothers birthday on the 16th so I may have to go and get drunk with him instead!! :puke:
Andy
Look at this pic and you can see where the Leisure Centre is.
:confused:Leisure centre may not be the same as leisure complex, with bowling cinema etc. I'm still working on getting a name for the blasted place!!!:banghead:

How about Yeo Leisure Park, Old Station Way, Yeovil - this is where the new multiplex cinema and bowling etc. are.

I am presuming that the leisure complex that Tim refers to is the one that Bay was thinking of.
If so this is it. Yeo Leisure Park (http://www.bbc.co.uk/events/cinema/venue.shtml?vid=989&rid=58&map=1)
I will aim to get there for 11.00AM (Hoping that Emma doesn't mind getting up to drive me as I am still on crutches.!)
If anybody has any problems finding us then please ring me on 07814 008858.
Yeovil is not the largest place in the world if you get lost!
Look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
Mike.

if any one is not sure of the way then use the aa or rac route planner guide on the net it gives you step by step instructions just type in the address or post code of where your trying to find if we can get hold of it off of anyone?.

As far as I can work out, there could be 7-8 of us there. These are TimJFord, Skinful, Nard, Damo, Mac1, GCatz, Madmale007 and possibly Blackcatz699 - any advance on that ?
Looking forward to it, although not looking forward to washing my car at 7am.
Anyone interested in buying a set of Ford roofbars, used once ? I can bring them along if anyone is.
Tim.
:biggrin:Possibly add one Subaru (Cougaru), adopted club member who has helped with most of my mods!!!
Tim,
What is 7am?
See you in Yeovil.

Hi guys,
I'd love to be there but unfortunatly I'm all tied up this weekend (not literally).
Catch you all soon,
Stu
Went over this morning to check it out.
Hope this helps.
It is the Yeo Leisure Park, Old Station Way, Yeovil.
Location is right in the one way system. Pick up signs for Rail Station and follow into one way system.
The whole area is built up and you are quickly on the location before realizing.
Look out for CANNONS HEALTH CLUB which dominates the site.
Car park(s) are behind the complex and I suggest miss the first parking area on left adjacent to the rear of the building and go into the main area. There is also what looks like a good Italian cafe/restaraunt called (I think) Jerry & Frankie's.
The whole area was very, very busy this morning at about 11am.
Good social meet. Total 7 cats. Great sunny weather.
Enjoyed the theatre chat Mrs Skinful.
Interesting to see the mods on the Cats. Still like my go faster stripe !
