Fog Light relay????

I need some help here with stock fog lights! I have the new switch that I need, but they still don't work. So I am trying to find out where this fog light relay that I need is. Can anyone give me some info on where it is located under the dash? I've looked under there, but I don't see a "blue tab" that is supposed to be there. Any help???

I believe the fog light relay is in the fuse / relay box on the left of the steering column under the dash but I don't have my owner's manual in front of me to check.

ok...then how do I get into the fuse box and what do I need to look for in there???

It is a tab close to the switch. I think its blue or green.

ok....I am still clueless on what is going on!?!?! I need a fog light relay, that is in the fuse box on the left side under the dash.....I've gotten all that, but I still don't know what I am looking for under there. What exactly is a relay?? Is it a fuse, or what?? Excuse my ignorance, but electrical systems aren't my forte! I am just trying to figure out what a relay is and where exactly is it located. I am trying to get as much information and knowledge so that when I go up to the Ford Dealership, I can get what I need and know what I am talking about! Please Help!

so does anyone have this part number??? I searched for a thread and found where someone put up two possible part numbers. One was G1UHW96FG 19W572AA 8LA-2......and the other one was V23074 PA66-GF25. Anybody have an idea??? And also, is the blue tab/clip in the fuse box or is it just stuck up under the dash somewhere?

The part # on the relay isn't in Ford's system when I checked it off another Cougars relay. It was under some a/c thing IIRC. I forget tho.

The dealer kept giving me a white relay that would only make the fogs work if I had the hi-beams on. :confused:

so then, when I go to the Ford Dealership, what do I need to ask for??? If I ask for a fog light relay, will they have any way of getting what I need or what???

I forget how I got it. You can go back and try, but I remember that it was listed under another part #. Something for the A/C system.

Make sure it's the blue one.....and I distinctly remember it being marked with 8LA-2/8KB-2.
