Nice pics....much better rims and lowering really makes it look a lot more aggressive....

only critique....i think you mentioned it anyway.....new hood and new spoiler. That spoiler softens the agressive "stance" you car has...like giving Rocky a set of pom-poms..

otherwise.....very nice

Damn that car looks great but...um one thing
is that an APC sticker?

looks MUCH better.. but I will never approve of a downgrade in rim quality... (sorry - I am very anti ADR, heard nothing but bad things ever)

even without the skirts it looks great.. I wish I had a winter beater :(

BTW- glad you ditched the fogs too.. looks cleaner, they almost looked ricey (no offense meant)

I'm going to have to disagree with crispy and say the new rims look about 50x better than the old ones! I'm gonna have to agree with ethan and say ditch the wing for something less 'rounded'...

I'm going to agree with you that the rims LOOK better... but please notice that I said QUALITY of rims ;)

thanks

i sold my kam sides - was planning on getting my sw sides molded on - but im waiting until spring.

i think the rims look HUGE on the car

yes im definetly getting a new wing, just dont have the $$ right now. between putting the sides on and redoing my stereo install (since i dont have one at all right now) im looking at least $1500 for those 2 things, the wing i want is close to $400 and id have to get that painted and installed -- so ive got to wait - maybe next year?.....

as for the apc sticker -- well.... i dont know - got some apc products inside - prolly going to get rid of the strip - depends on if i have the $$ for a new paint job....

yeah i was thinking of mounting the fogs behind the mesh - just wasnt sure how to attach them to the bumper or where.

Those are 225/40/18 tires right? Wheels look really good! What spoiler are you planning on getting to replace that high rise one? Also got any pics of the rear showing width of tires from the back?

JennaJ
01-24-2003, 11:22 AM
Yeah - thats the tire size.

I want to get the kam wing too ------------ actaully i wanted the Kaminari CF Insert Wing, AND Kaminari CF Insert Hood. But I dont have any other CF on the car - and I dont want to switch everything over - I just thought it would look good to get a matching wing and hood.

for the hood:
CF insert $549 + s/h
Fiberglass $469 + s/h
difference of $80 (but less to have to paint and worry about picking a different color for the insert)

for the wing:
CF Insert $399 + s/h
Fiberglass $329 + s/h
difference of $70

total difference of $150 - but im sure shipping is going to be close to $200 maybe even more for both. that means i need to save up at least $1200 and thats not including paint or installation of either item if I was to go with the CF pieces.

SO unless someone knows where I can get these from cheaper - Id LOVE YA forever!!

ive got just 1 pic now of the side/rear -- ill try to get the car out again and take a direct rear shot for ya. but as far as im concerned - they look a lot wider!

sharp wheels! i like the looks of 'em better than the previous wheels.

the car looks better with every upgrade! nice work.

Looking at that back....i've gotta say.....i hate aluminum wings, passionately despise even....but i think a low sitting, black wing would look hot as hell given the kit you have, the color, and the rims....plus with a kam hood, might give it even more aggressive look to it...

My other idea :wiggle:.....ever think about tinting the tails instead of the covers?? Keep the darker exterior look?? To me the redness of the reflector causes ya to lose something, but i can understand not wanting to tint your lights...

my thoughts for now

JennaJ

i actually wanted to tint the tails -- i saw you had a set on sale on ebay too......

but i dont want to tint all of them, i want to keep the covers, i was just going to tint the red bubble -- basically with the covers on - all the red that is left showing.

but i dont know how to do it exactly - a little afraid to try right now

tinted tails with CF insert hood and spoiler would look so hot with the tinted windows alreay then get rid of the decals that are silver on the doors and it would flow nice, cept the new rims might look out of place being the only silver item on a hot as green and basicly black car. but then again what can i say my dt green has silver everywhere so

I had Intricate Lines (http://www.intricatelines.com/HTM/Index2.htm) make my door strip with all the logos. On their website, if you watch the flash in the beginning - you'll see a picture of my car :)

Yeah I plan on getting rid of that some time this summer

Those rims look sick! I'm definitely a fan. I was planning on getting ADR's myself but decided to get something else. Excellent choice though. Glad to see you got rid of that wheel gap as well. The car should be looking great by show season, can't wait to see it.

doesn't matter.. we're changing it all up.. Good b/c then she can accuse me some more!! I have my own ideas and sure as hell dont want to be copying her!!

so if she plans on doing anything like X1 fenders, air ducts, CF Hood or CF wing -- then I can accuse her of copying me

GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didnt do anything wrong! IM NOT TRYING TO COPY ANYTHING OR ANYONE -- its my fault that there are only so many manufactures of certain parts for our cars

Se7enCentz
my car is actually in the shop right now getting a fiberglass, tweed, plexyglass - stereo install done :) after that is completed - she is going to another shop to get the side skirts put on... ive got the SW sides that need a little extra TLC to be put on
