I was wondering if anyone knew if it would be fin just to leave the clear headlight covers off after painting the inside of the covers to match the car paint. I think it would give a cool 3D custom look. Any suggestions?

try it, if u dont like it.. u'll still have painted headlights :thumbsup:

becareful doing that. I don't believe those lenses are made well enough from the factory to withstand the elements and road debris. One small rock could spoil your day.

Not to mention the fact that they will not have the dot approved lenses on them then....they will be illegal without the lenses on them. Water or too much moisture getting past the lamps will not be good. Also the halogen bulbs get anything on them and they will pop. I would put the lenses back on...
