I did a search, but didn't find what I am looking for. What I want is a little class in music tech. I burned some music saved as mp3's onto a CD-R. Will this play in the factory 6 disc changer on the Cougar? I know someone is going to say go out and try it, but I don't have the car with me at this time to do that.

Whatever program you are using, there should be an option to make a regular audio CD that will work in your CD player. I have burned many CDs using MP3s and they work in my factory deck and changer.

yeah, if you convert the MP3's to WAV (i believe its wav) and then burn it, it will work fine. It wont work though if you burn straight MP3

It won't work that way.. if you burn the wav's, you're still burning a data CD. You need to burn an Audio CD. Whatever program you're using, there should be an option to choose between a data cd or an audio cd.

If you want to play MP3's, you need to buy an MP3 compatible headunit. You can fit about 200 songs a CD on those..
