ever wonder if you could get rid of those blackk lines around the headlights? Or is that where they seal up.

That is the weather stripping...You could take it out if you wanted to, but it might look a little odd. If you painted it, the paint would probably crack, seeing as the stripping is flexible rubber.

It looks really cheap and ugly without the weather stripping, I tried with mine, then put it back on. You'll also have some condensation build up in the lights without it

EDIT: Forgot to add looks good!

I was talking about the top of the lights, the black trim around them... And I had a 01, forgot if they changed them in 99 or 00

if i'm not mistaken that black line is part of the lens... you would need to paint the outside of the lens to cover it up...

pierre is correct... the thick black line is on the backside of the clear lense... there is weather stripping, too, but the more prominent is the stuff inside the lense. personally, i love the way it looks... *shrug*

I painted my 01's and I like them better than the 99-00 headlights.

Sorry, see now this is getting contagious. Nice job man. Looks great, one of the cleanest mods.

Hey I live in Tampa, FL as well, but I go to UF. Did you get that done locally some how or did you do it yourself? Thanks
