Ok, so I finally have some time to vent on my trip to Belleayre Mountain last week. OK, here I go.
As many of you know, I had a nice 3-day trip planned for me and my girl to go to Belleayre Mountain to snowboard. Well, since every time we go up, we never get to go anywhere but just boarding, we decided that our first day should be spent driving around nearby towns and doing a little shopping for fun. So, we arrive no problem. We check in to the hotel. We do our thing the first day, and make sure we go to bed nice and early :evil:, so we can get up early the next morning to hit the mountain.
Next morning, we do our thing on the mountain, and when it hits 3:00, we decide to call it a day since we had been out since 9am. We go inside the Lodge to get a cup of hot chocolate. Well, when we return outside no more than 10 minutes later, to get our boards and leave, they are gone.
What really sucks is that they were locked with the conventional "snowboard lock" that you buy in any ski store. The Bastards cut it and stole both our damn boards.
I quickly tell Corinne to run inside and see if anyone had our boards while I run out to the parking lot to scope out if anyone might have had our boards.
Nothing!
So, I jump in my car and start circling the parking lot while Corinne continues looking inside. About 15 minutes go by and we both realize our stuff is GONE for good.
After she walks back, security pulls up next to us, and asks us what we are doing, since we look suspicious circling the lot. We give them our story, and fill out Police Reports.
After we got back to the hotel, we decided that we should go home early since there was no point in staying another day without boarding.
So, now, with the great snow conditions, we are both left with just boots, missing our new boards and bindings. What makes things worse is that the stuff was bought last year, and was pretty much brand new. Now we are each out more than 500 bucks each to pick up new equipment.
Well, that was my summary of my little snowboarding trip.
