Well here is the story.......I did talk to Merc. on this and he said he would work on something for us.
I don't want to push the issue as he is doing us a fovor.I will Pm him to see if anything is in work process.....

Heh, it took Merc an me 2 years to get the NE NECO one up, soon after NE NECO was dissolved :)

we could create a quick page just for now on some free webhosting site... wouldn't take that long and could just have a quick bio/pics of members/their cars if they want; current/future meet info; and other odds and ends...easy stuff and then it all could be later transferred to a better webhosting place or completely redone.

even better! if it was up to me i'd leave the hyphen out of mass-conn and just do "www.skolenimation.com/massconn" since well... well i don't know why really just preference :)

i'd also offer to do up a quick page but the last page i did was a few years ago and at that time used frames, which apparently is shunned upon by some people nowadays... :disgust:
i think i used dreamweaver and fireworks back then to do most of it... dunno what programs are around now for this sort of thing.

Well, here is what I had worked on a few years ago for the redesign of FastCougar.com and the now defunct launch of NE-NECO's site. Both can be tweaked to work for Mass/Conn in under an hour or so.

The banner- This was going to be on my opening page. You'd go to skolenimation.com and have 3 choices (NE-NECO, My site, My Freelance section) all in this kind of banner form. Since I'm still designing the layout for the other 2 pages this never was put up.

The FastCougar site- Trevor asked me to design a layout for FastCougar that could be used as a showcase for everything for the Cougar & the How-To's (visually). He eventually went in his own direction with something else (coming soon) and the LFP franchise. I feel pretty bummed because I poured a good amount of time into this and it's one of the few designs that after 2 years I can look back at and still like. I'd like to see this get used with a little rewording.


I can host videos. Last I checked DirectNIC lets me have something like 100gb of bandwidth a month (which I come nowhere near), and if I do go over then another 100 is like $6. I would like for us to have the best visually aided how-to section on installing & maintaining stuff in your own car (this is how I envisioned the new FastCougar). Videos would be there so you could hear & see performance mods.

The drop down menu on the FastCougar site can be done in HTML with some advanced knowledge. Otherwise someone could try it in Flash, but I dunno if all the graphics would transfer well.

Here's the tweak. Heh, no I won't use that picture for "Meets & Events" :biggrin:, but if anyone has a picture of a meet with just the group of cars & another of a group of members I could use those.



...no incriminating photos either. As hard as it may be not to. :)


EDIT: That grey bar is where the sub-categories would go. Droping the idea for the pull down menu for size constraints & ease of programming.

Well, I'm no good at the whole coding & HTML thing. Someday I'll learn and with that knowledge, rule the world.

I can build the pages quickly
but for now the pages will be part of the member pages for the B-n-M crew ... I'll put up a button for Mass/Conn on my main page after I get all the pages up. Then it will be parked for our use untill someone decides that they want to park it on a server by it self.
So start sending those pics quotes and bios.

pages should only take a few days to build and post.

if yas gots video and wanna use it for an opener on the main Mass/Conn page let me know
