Before it has to start getting warmer! I need to do so much to my car and the cold weather is killing me. What are everyones plans for the first signs of thaw?

I have this lined up:

Lay some Dynamat down in the trunk & interior (my carpeting is coming off)
Steam clean my seats
Install my BAT ST200 RSTB and Roush rear sway bar
Gut the precats
Somehow refurbish my rims (or find replacements)
Find a cheap SVT UIM & possibly a LIM
Get a Dyno done
And wax, wax wax the car cause I can't stand seeing her dirty!

I can't stand my winter **** tires. They're so bad that when I'm driving at 30mph and floor it they spin bad.

my definate plans are:

do my UIM conversion, superchip, wires(you know who you are, thanks mang),paint my taillights and headlights, paint my interior and reupholster the doors(soon as i figure out what colors i want for everything, put in my ps and alt underdrive pulleys, find more unneeded weight to get rid of.

indeffintate unless i start working:

electric waterpump, start my project on the custom long throw headers, and whatever else comes to mind...the key element here is starting work again though.

probably repaint the dash; make visors black like headliner; maybe put in some LEDs; completely check my underbody neon wiring and re-attach my front neon (its just hanging now... :cover: ); try to rig up a pc enclosure that will fit somewhere in the car, along with an in dash lcd(this very much depends on how the money is flowing then... i may just end up having to buy an cheap lcd without a vga-in and hurt my eyes trying to read blurry text.. :( ; and help maddog install his roush springs.

I have way to much to list... The list grows by the day... HEHEHE Two more additions as far as yesterday... Car won't look the same...

see bottom of sig for awaiting install list
:( some of those things I've had since Christmas of 2001.

I was going to buy headers off the CEG group buy (get in on this one if you guys want headers right now, you must order by 1/31/03) but I decided against the risk of voiding my extended warranty.
I am in such a dire need of free access to a lift, hell I'm willing to pay a rental fee, as long as it's not as expensive as a dealership hourly rape-rate.
having someone install all the stuff I have lined up will cost me an arm and a leg.
granted I could probably afford it by that time, I'd rather save that money to pay off my car loan (which will hopefully happen 2 months from now) and get some experience turning wrenches on my car.

bah, no need for lifts for most things... just a good jack and jack stands and usually a nice big hammer and you're all set

yah I know I know.
although I got the STBs off of RoushSC who installed them on his cougar with my fiance.
they both said "hell no are we going to attempt putting that stuff on another cougar using just jack stands"
blah so we'll see.

Yeah guys, I as well am waiting for a little warmer weather although I am afraid that we will have to wait a little longer than a month for it to even warm up above 32 degree at the rate that things are going up here.

On the other hand I am hearing all these mods being tossed around and I would love to help people out. As far as the struts braces, I have a warehouse and some time on the weekends that we could use and between you and me we could install it in a couple of hours. All the iterior work, I shall leave the painting up to you guys although I am able to take the center consoul and dash out in under an hour.

Basically, what I am trying to say is that I know I haven't been on the boards for a while although Ivo (Furious1) will varify, I do know what I am doing around the car.

I also noticed a post from JScullin about a dyno run. I was actually going to wait another month or so (until the weather got warmer) and then I was going to make an appointment for the Mass/Conn group. If I get a decent amount of PM's I shall start setting something up a little earlier. I was thinking about some time in early April. Any comments as to when a meet should be let me know. I'll start making calls after I get an idea as to how many people would be interested in the dyno.

Stay tuned. Again, I promise to be on the boards more often.

Mikel

Yea, I'm willing to help out anyone so long as I get a little back. Thing is, that RSTB and Roush RSwB need to go in together since we'd be in the same region.

My experience installing this is only from watching Badlarry and helping him. I can install intakes or change oil & brake pads :)

I got a little garge(minus the lift), got a ton of tools and stuff to if anyone wants to head here. I'm definately down for the dyno run but hopefully my UIM conversion will be done by then. I also heard that the last place yous' all did the dyno runs at wasn't to accurate. Any better places? I'm down for April though. By then I should have my UIM,proflo75mm and other things in (chip, svt computer if i can dig one up cheap enough).

Hey Ivo how much does that svt computer cost brand new? Need any calibration or anything or just pop her in and go?

Awaiting warmer weather:

MSDS Headers
Ford Motorsport Racing 9mm Wires (red)
Autolites Double Platinum Plugs
24mm Aussie Rear Sway Bar w/bolt-on backing plates
Inform Designs GFX (this time painted-may also do hood scoop-already have it)
Z3 Fenders
Brand New Fuel Pump (stock)
Minor Tune-up: new PCV valve, full cleaning of UIM/LIM/TB with all new gaskets (may also replace belts).

Still to get:

New Catalytic Converter (stock unless I can find a high flow one that fits the MSDS/Borla)
FordChips.com Custom Dyno Tuned Chip
B&M Short Throw Shifter
OEM Carbon Fiber Hood
Dual Mode Damper

CougarDemon, a new SVT ECU is ~$300-not worth it. You can find one for ~$100 from a junk yard (I found some myself). A few things changed my mind from doing this but it still buggs me to find out how the Coug would take it (given you have at least the SVT UIM/TB/LIM w/19lb inj.).

Pipghia, I would be up for another dyno run after the mods.

Furious, I have the Hi-Flow CAT off my YoDude Y-Pipe (it's removable). If I can pass inspections (in Feb) without it then you could make me an offer, I've been running without it for a while now and enjoy the gains :)

i usually see a TON of cars around bristol with a huge "BAD BOYZ" decal on the rear window... i've only really seen 1 nice car out of all of them (btw, most of the cars that i've seen look really bad though.. mostly older rusted out Hondas....), and even then it was still a civic but from what i saw it looked decent (the orangey one).

Exactly what do you have? I checked into it a little and as far as I knoww there is no stock replacement hi-flow cat with the right diameter to match the MSDS with the Borla. Is it a direct OEM replacement? What are the in/out diameters? How many miles on it (please be honest)? If the shoe fits...

MADDOG...what are YOU cookin over there buddy? You been spending some plastic?
