Well, all...
Yesterday's meet was a ton of fun, I'm glad I went. But I don't think I'll be going to another for a very, very long time. The Cougar's been taken away for an indefinite period of time. Apparently, I told my dad I was going to just go to PH and park it, then hitch a ride with Tomek or Viz. I don't remember anything of the sort, but he does, so he wins. Also, I managed to pull off a 49 in a 35 speeding ticket yesterday, so that'll further screw me. I'm pretty sure there's a good chance I'll lose my license until I'm 18. All it was was a basic speed violation, though, no wreckless(sp?) driving or anything.
I'm about ninety percent sure that as of now, selling the Cougar and relegating me to the old Saturn SC-2 is a very real option for my dad. I'll stick on the boards for a while, providing he doesn't blackhole this place, as he has several other websites, but we'll see.
In any case, it's been awesome to meet and hang with you all.

 Thats straight messed up man
I wish there was something we could all do... like if it would do any good, we could all drive up there, and meet him face to face so he wouldn't think we were a bunch of hoodlums.... although come to think of it, after meeting us... he still might
Let us know if there's anything we can do, seriously:)

Well, good news and bad news.
Bad news is: Cougar's gone for six weeks(until the court hearing). I also have to demonstrate responsibility in my driving habits between now and then. I have to get a job and pay for the insurance increase, the car, and the ticket. I got a rather stern lecture from my dad. I got a really long, drawn out, vicious tongue-lashing from my girlfriend. Heartening... I think. I think I'll be getting another lecture soon enough. I have to drive the Saturn for a while, and I have to work my butt off to earn money quickly.
The good news is:
I was cited for 22350(I think). It's a basic speed violation. Even with my probationary license/minor status, I'm not screwed too badly legally.
I will get the Cougar back. She's not being sold.
I don't have to drive the Saturn for long.
I'm getting a job, which means money.
The Saturn's a stick. Low-powered, but I think I just demonstrated I don't need all that much;)
The best news:
Well, the ticket was a huge wake-up call. I speed, way too much. I'm glad I got a ticket, rather than getting in an accident or hitting a pedestrian or something.
I doubt I'll ever do another 120mph speed trial, or race on city streets or elsewhere. I'm also going to make it a point to drive like a sane person. Speed Limit +5 or so, no higher. There's no real reason to be going 50 in a 35.
So, yeah. All's well that ends well, huh? I'll be back to meets in two months or so, or hell, maybe I'll go in two weeks, providing I can hitch a ride with one of you wonderful people.

The best news of all is you are learning from your experience  and not being a dumbshi-t and saying you'll be back to speeding as soon as you're in another car :)
My wakeup call came in the form of a ticket as well... mine was for going a little bit faster than you (93 mph) in a 65 mph... we were going much much faster than that, and were very lucky we only got clocked at 93... but still $300 later, I learned my lesson, and don't like going at those speeds anymore.
I'm happy you get to keep your car, but it sucks your dad found out about it, my parents never did, and never will;)
You demonstrated a lot of maturity today here Sean, and i'm darn proud of you son  You are no longer the stupid newb to me ;)

glad to hear it bud! Even tho you still might get nagged on for being the noob, you're a part of this club none-the-less  Like Devin said its a good thing you learned from it and arent taking your parents/girlfriends actions the wrong way. My greatest fear is still coming home from a meet and gettin a ticket in the last 10miles or so :-\. Good luck to ya, its gonna be hard with money and not spending it on mods like exhaust/intake/etc... which make you go faster ;)

It's the Asian woman in the accident-causing Civic!
I appreciate all of your support and such. I just wish I could skip driving the Saturn and just stick with the Cougar.
